I’m with you, Les. I think my short summary of the game was ‘awful game, but 3 points is 3 points’.

The only plus points were another hard working display from Ennis, a solid performance from Sheaf and the Anderson/Wright combo was as solid as ever (except one little lapse from Wright early doors, which he recovered well).

First of all that was an excellent 3 points, hardworking performance & rock solid defensively. The game  I watched last night however was a game between 2 poor sides with Shrewsbury the better in possession, their passing & movement much better than ours, & although we struggled to get any kind of momentum going due to poor passing & ideas there was no lack of effort from our players, very poor entertainment wise though.
Your a hard man to please.
We were in total control in the 2nd half.
Better decision making and finishing and we would have won 4-0 possibly 5-0
Hard man to please? Not really, just thought it was not a good game, as I said great 3 points, that really pleased me.

We were really poor first half I though. Shrewsbury were really poor on the night, zero attacking threat.

I didn't say it was a stellar performance Gaz. I said we out-matched Shrewsbury all over the pitch. There wasn't a moment from 25 mins or so onwards where I felt that we were in any serious danger, and i thought we looked dangerous on a regular basis.

And they are no mugs. But we made them look very poor.

It felt like the sort of performance that top end of the table sides put in around this time of the year. Not Copacabana football, but a solid job done of dominating an opponent and finishing them off.
