A quiz compendium for those "days in" or furloughed days

Found this when looking for something else but I like the look of it

There are loads and loads of quizzes which seem to be mainly but not totally Geographical
I quickly found this Where are the States of the USA - can you find them - like pinning the tail on the Donkey.

Its really frustrating but entertaining for sure. I have been in 24 States and thought I knew "a bit" about the USA (I dont). It took me 7 goes to get the first one right (was hoping Florida AlaskA Hawaii Maine or New York would come up but they didnt

Even if you have never been it is still a good memory test because if you get one wrong it shows you where the State actually is so a bit like playing "Pairs" it becomes a test of memory. That said my current "record" is 8 and of course as soon as you bomb it shows you where you went wrong.

Then simply press rewind in top left and start again

Update - addictive but I finally got to 10 in a row BUT I am cursing each time I get one wrong

Hard luck if you get Rhode Island as it must be 1 square pixel !

Alaska and Hawaii in boxes so those 2 are the easiest along with Fla of course

I got 14 out of 50.  Most annoying part was I got two of the places I used to visit with work wrong!  Not easy without the borders.

Im up to 21 now and it has become a mental game. I got to 20 again and Mrs DW came hassling me for something trivial to me but life saving to her so I just stabbed at West Virginia and got it wrong by a billimetre (it was close)

So if she had not come in I could have been a bit higher than that (could a would a should a)

I am sure I can get the 50 within a week but it needs some good luck such as you having North Dakota in already and getting South Dakota to place

Yahoo - cant believ it took me under 12 hours with time off for walking eating etc to crack it

Just had a quick go at it and didn't get more than 3 in a row. Shoddy performance.

Ive done it 3 times now but it has a luck element in that if it says "Iowa" for example its pin the tail on the Donkey - Florida easy and when I did it the first time the fates were kind and I had a lot of the trickiest surrounded

I took maybe 20 goes to get from being right the first time to getting it right the second time so keep at it and note where each one is that you get wrong . Example Pennsylvania - look at Manhattan - follow it down and then add its approx length twice and you will be in that State.

Look at tell tale notches for Arizona and New Mexico on Mexican border and dont forget they are 2 of the 4 States that share a common junction so Utah and Colorado are easier to find
