ITEN End of Season Award - Nominations!
« on June 20, 2020, 01:39:36 pm by RoversAlias »
Hi folks,

We will be holding votes to determine fan choices for 2019/20 Awards so I'm after your nominations for who you think should win, and why. The categories are, predictably:

1. Rovers Player of the Season
2. Young Player of the Season (23 and Under)
3. Goal of the Season
4. Game of the Season

Please let me know your choices and the most popular will be put to fan votes in a week's time!

Thanks DO, I should have clarified that - 23 years old or younger to be eligible on that one!

1. Tough call between two players for me. Dieng was brilliant and a fantastic presence at the back but Anderson was imperious in most games so shades it for me.

2. If Cameron John had maintained his early season form he’d have been the winner by a country mile but sadly was nowhere near as good at left back. Sheaf had moments of genius but also moments where he’d seemingly not been introduced to his teammates whilst Ennis was a tireless if raw performer up top. I’d probably say Sheaf shades it for me for some moments/games of real quality - to be fair you expect some inconsistency from players so young. Honourable mentions for Madger Gomes who improved well as the season progressed and Danny Amos’ impressive late season appearances at left back.

3. Probably an unlikely choice but the first one that  comes to mind is Alfie May’s rounding off of the 7-1 win at Southend.

4. Peterborough away. Glorious!

1. Was gonna say Sadlier but I think Whiteman is more crucial to the way we play so I'm gonna say him.

2. Sheaf. He's got the technical ability to succeed. The only things he's lacking will come from experience. He'll definitely play at least at the top of the Championship. Whiteman is eligible for this too though but don't want to give him everything.

Will update 3 and 4 later.

Whiteman turned 24 on Wednesday! Otherwise I’d agree with you, he was better than any of those I mentioned above.
