Complete performance
« on October 20, 2020, 10:12:41 pm by PDX_Rover »
4-1 against the unbeaten league leaders.

The game management was first class by Rovers.
The defending from the front was fantastic.
The high press was brilliant.
The work rate by those lads was unbelievable.
The movement was awesome.

One of the best Rovers performances I have seen ever I think. Ipswich just could not live with us.

One to watch and enjoy again and again I think.

Superb performance. Even when Joe scored his Worldie in the first 20-odd minutes (that was a difficult ball to stretch to get, let's be fair) I knew we would go on to win.

Bring on Crewe.

Sounds good! I missed it, unfortunately. I'll have to wait until the end of season DVD comes out to celebrate us winning the league.  :bbscarf:

They must be really desperate if they are considering putting Woolfie in the team for Saturday.

Their keepers distribution with his feet was a disaster waiting to happen.
His passing and lack of ball control was diabolical.

I have to say, having watched it again, that was as entertaining a game as you could wish for, with the right result at the end. Demolition job just about describes it, with every player playing their part.

What a lovely feeling to come on here and not see any negatives - at all. How anyone could possibly moan at that display is beyond me. After all, we scored all the goals! You just had to get on the scoresheet, Wrighty.
 :)

Now comes the hard part - we’ve set the bar very high - we must now try to push it up even higher, or, at least, not lower it.

Well done everyone.

Funny how Lambert reckons our first two goals were lucky. Ben's yes, but Cam took his very well, even though it dropped kindly for him. I suppose their own goal wasn't lucky... *Sigh*

How often do we see a cross/free kick avoid everyone and drift into the net.?  Whiteman’s may have been intended as a cross but he may very well deliberately have put it on target, just in case.?

It was clearly a practised routine to get a better angled ball in the box. Just turns out that his cross was too good for everyone

I seem to remember David Cotterill doing it in 2012-13, maybe even twice or three times.

It was the first game of the season for me and I couldn't have asked for more, it was going at such a pace I didn't have time to type much on lucky pint. It was a game you dream of getting when a lot lot younger on the way to the match, playing the top team heart in mouth and it all falls into place.
