“Now down to 30 league games in 127 days one every 4.2 days”Off of the Accrington forum. 30 league games +5 potential cup games. This is without anymore postponements due to covid/weather
These circumstances have no negotiations for alternatives but postponements and rearrangement of fixtures are the only solutions open to the EFL . As the season began late, it’s to be hoped that the season will allowed to run over similarly and take the pressure out of this madness of 3 matches every week. If they can alter the rules on substitutes from 3-5 then another rule change has to made to let the season end a month late .

So how many are they playing the following week.. Let me guess. You are counting that middle Saturday again, so 3 more games the feeling week? DM has said we will be playing every 2 to 3 days,.. Erm... No we won't, never have, never will. Its weekend, midweek. The end!!
Ridiculous notion or not, it’s asking for trouble when it’s happening nearly every week. The next thing we’ll be having is loads of injuries, due to the squad not being fully prepared for the game v Blackburn! This season is getting dafter by the week.
The day when football will be closed down for a period of weeks isn't far away. When the vast majority of the country is under tier 4 why should football clubs be different. Surely it has to be wrong for footballers to be travelling all over the place to train and play without any of the rules applying to them.
Agree on the extending bit, hound. I don’t agree about the ‘same for every other club’ though - yes, if you mean every other club that have had COVID problems, but those not afflicted, have a great chance o carry on with full training and have a ‘reset’ of sorts. Instead of the mayhem of game after game after game, some clubs are seeing enforced breaks (due o their opponents having o postpone) and, therefore, rest periods.
The government realise how important football is to the population of the UK and the part it plays in our daily lives.

I'd rather chance it than carry on living a non life.
Granted, Sam Allardyce is likely much better off financially than me, but despite being in the clinically extremely vulnerable category I have to go out to work every day in order to have enough money to live. It isn't much of a choice for many classed as higher risk, be they over 50/60 or with health conditions.Allardyce is a football manager and thus wants to do his job, especially in an environment that has done well to minimise Covid exposure to this point. Things feel like they're getting really out of control again now mind which isn't good.
