Well if Labour got their act together it's becoming an open goal.
The Conservatives are doing their best to put people off from voting for them. Over to you. :)

Maybe they could find a new leader lurking in the shadows of a 3rd division off-topic football forum?

  Well, there is a surprise, it looks like old Stabber Starmer trousers trousers £275 an hour from his second job bringing him in a cool quarter of a million last year and the leader of the Liberals ED Dayey charges £ 675 an hour for his second job, whisper it.
   I bet there is quite a few whiter ( should it be redder) than white shaking like a shi**ing dog over this subject on every side of the house, and now all of them will be coming under the other sides microscope.

It's all here, but you won't want to read the Guardian aye selby?

''Keir Starmer did legal work on top of his job as MP, records show
Starmer was paid almost £26,000 for work while he was an MP before he became Labour leader''

''Only three Labour MPs have second jobs in consultancy or as directors, compared with 90 Conservatives''

Do those second jobs involve lobbying fellow MP’s on behalf of organisations seeking influence?

That proves it then Syd, the Tories have the brighter employable minds, and firms want them to work for them, and the labour MPs can go back to sweeping the streets.

What it shows selby is that the tory party can lie, cheat and cover its voters in sewage and they still ask for more.

Apparently he was conducting his side business in the House of Commons which is 100% against the rules. And that's before you address the moral argument of an MP vanishing from his constituency to earn £1m-ish for a few days work advising overseas tax haven bosses how to take on the UK Govt in a legal case.

Blackpool,

Here you go, an explainer on the Cox affair;

He is going to walk the plank, even if it is only to save the skin of CoCo.

Yes. That is one of the things that Paterson was found guilty of.

It gets curiouser with Cox however, as he is now claiming he had the government's permission to do what he did - break Common's rules.

It proves what contempt the Tories have for the people who voted for them.

As I've said before, I've no fundamental issue with an MP having a second job as long as it:
- doesn't break Parliamentary rules.
- doesn't lead to obvious conflicts of interest and
- is sufficiently limited that it doesn't interfere with the job of being an MP.

Cox has earned £6m from his legal work since 2005. He has earned around £1m as an MP in that time. In my book, that makes him a lawyer who has a second job as a part time MP.

Enough attention to keep commenting though, that itch must be really stubborn

A list of MP's who have 2nd jobs as consultants: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/explainers-59206904

I wonder how people with no experience of the industry they are advising in are worth the money they are paid?  Hmmm.....

More Cox-up;
https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/tory-geoffrey-cox-claims-1500-25448249

This bloke is way out of bounds, and CoCo can't deal with it because he is cut from the same cloth!
