I think he wanted to leave but the stewards wouldn’t let him, so that was his only way of getting out of the ground.

Pissed up (or other), mouthing off and yawping from the start from the comfort of his box. Then decided to be a hero and climb down. I’ve no idea who hires or owns these boxes but this season there’s been more and more f**king aresholes inhabit them. Quite annoying really as my seat is at the back of the stand just in front of them.

Wondered where he came from, there were about 3 people in the seats in that section of the stand

Slightly off compass but what went off in South Stand? I saw 4 youths who decided it was fine to stand up at the front, eventually they "sat" on the backs of their seats. At half time I then saw a couple of stewards snd policemen go down and have words with them, then they marched up to the back of the stand and escorted a chap out. What went off?

Was it anything to do with the Netto brigade?

Thought it might have been due to a cat that tried to invade the pitch like at Hillsborough but didn't manage to get that far........

I must admit. These stories of drunkards in boxes aren't exactly selling it to me. I think i'd be happier in my seat tbh.

We (my Company) had a box for three or four years and used to invite customers.
Most of them were ok and didn’t drink too much but there were occasional people who did get hammered and make a fool of themselves.

When Billy was here he invited me to his box. Curry and a beer. Sound. Met Louis Tomlinson in the bogs, his minder asked me not to take a photo. No prawn sarnies.

I wish they would get rid of the seats and either have kiosks that the fans can buy from all game, or extra seats. I know they bring a lot of money in, but if the club did what the Americans do and have people selling food and actually taking it to fans, it would stand out as a trend to set, where fans are human beings and can be served beer, a hotdog whatever in their seats.

It's some that don't behave like human beings that's always stopped beer at the seat.

It definitely attracts a certain breed which reverts back to your previous comment about rugby & football.

Yes unfortunately South, A small minority ruin it for the rest. Some would have problems eating a bag of crisps without assistance.

Not directly related to the Rovers’ boxes but donkeys years ago was invited to a box at Portman Road by a friend who had become friends with Sergei Baltacha who was playing for Ipswich at that time.

Dreadful game, no action no goals. Two minutes before half time plates of chicken and chips are delivered to our laps by a team of waitresses. Heat and vapour from said dinners immediately steam up the glass rendering view of pitch impossible and milliseconds later the only goal of the game is scored and seen by no one in the hospitality box. Have steadfastly refused any opportunity to watch from a box since.

Imagine being in the box at any time in the last two home games.

Absolutely. Copious amounts of alcohol would ensure that at least some enjoyment would have been gleaned from the last 2 home games.  :silly:
