Rovers are set to move into a new stadium at Lakeside.

Sorry, SER, I couldn't resist.

A player who comes here wanting to get some appearances under his belt, hopefully. Young and has something to prove, could be a good fit for us and him. Has a look of Charlie Seaman unless my eyes are going?.

Just a bit of banter, mate. The news about Martin signing has been discussed on the forum all afternoon.

Really decent half from him to say it's his first game. Imagine he'd be even more comfortable on a bigger surface like at our ground. Not sure of Cambridge pitch dimensions but it looks a tight pitch.

Cracking free kick that hit the bar and looks lively for the most part. Done more in 45 than Cukur ever did.

Just needs build up his match sharpness, a decent player that gives the side a bit more balance. Once you start getting players played in their positions you see improvement. We badly need that assurance at the back.

I know it’s only one game but reminded me very much of sadlier. Similar build, good with both feet, skilful and strikes a ball well.

Hopefully he can build on that performance and he will only get better with more game time. It’s down to him now to perform for us and try and get in the Norwich side next season.

Thought he had a good game last night. He's the only player willing to carry the ball, hold onto the ball under pressure, press forward and whilst it didn't come off last night - primarily due to dire non existent movement from the front 2, i thought he did well. He's clearly leagues above. His free kick first half looked a good un until it hit the top of the defenders head.

Agree with most of that. Think he has shown he offers us something different from what else we have. He wasn't helped by how we were set up to go forward.

Good in the last third and always looking for a pass to open things up

Would be better if he builds on his defensive game    Better second half when he tracked and closed down with more urgency. Our most creative player

I think Ipswich did do a job on him though. He always seemed to get closed down quickly and have to take on 2 or 3 players to get forward through the middle. Team mates not helping him out with better options and movement part of the problem though. He tried anyway and was looking to be positive with the ball and look for options. They just weren't there and he was getting closed down quickly and didn't have time to wait for the options to become available from team mates.

Love watching him though. Reminds me of Delle Alli (who is shit granted) but in style of play etc.

I thought that was his worst game for us last night, not saying he was poor but as soon as he got the ball 2 Ipswich players were on him only seemed to find space or get away from them 2 or 3 times, still a lot will be through him to create things in coming weeks

agree with this. Easily his worst game. Looked leggy and intimidated by the big lads. I would say this is exactly why we carried no attacking threat. Anything good from an attacking sense lately nearly always has Josh involved. He is that important to us.

I think we could play wing backs with this guy tried down the left. He would give us a bit of crossing ability that might create more opportunities for the strikers.

With our fitness situation having the extra bodies in midfield when attacking might allow us to get on top, in the middle of the park.

Have to give credit to Ipswich, they obviously identified him as the main attacking threat and nullified him.

MKDons play wing backs and he never played In that position when he was there so don’t believe that would be his rightful position

If he played wing back it's great if we're going to have 70% possession and keep him very high but reality is if he plays there he'll spend at least 50% of his time at left back and thats just a waste.

You could be right as we don’t get much possession, I just think in a decent team he would be great in the role. You would want him pushing their full back, back.

If you’ve got a back three and two holding them he has license to be more of a winger than full back.
I think it would complicate matters in hindsight as the players are used to an alternative formation.
