''The US supports illegal annexations by Israel and Morocco. Why the hypocrisy?
America must be consistent. It cannot pick and choose when to follow international law''

''Since taking office, the Biden administration has reversed neither of these Trump decisions. To the contrary, the US continues to provide Israel almost $4 billion in military aid per year absent any human rights conditions even as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International allege that it is practicing apartheid. The Biden administration has also boosted arms sales to Morocco even though the US-based democracy watchdog Freedom House reports that people in Western Sahara enjoy fewer freedoms than people in China or Iran''

Inconsistency and hypocrisy have plagued western international relations, primarily the US and its  poodles of course, ever since WW2.

I’ve held back on this, but given the topic has arisen, Russia have been pumping weapons into Syria for years now. And they have been criticised by western leaders for doing so .
The west are doing just the same now with Ukraine.
Different geopolitical scenarios, but with similar parallels.

Because Russian weapons and direct military action have been used to carpet bomb Syrian cities. Weapons to Ukraine are entirely defensive.

There is zero comparison.

The Drones being supplied to Ukraine in significant numbers are hardly what you would describe as defensive, having said that the Ruskis are shooting them down like Sitting Ducks.

I also feel that as a nation we have shown hypocrisy
The Ukrainian refugees are being allowed to join family in the uk.  I absolutely agree with this. What’s happening in the Ukraine is a disgrace  Why have we also not opened our doors more freely to allow the Afghan people living in fear who worked alongside us and fought alongside us to come to the uk
I know that some have and we can’t allow every body in but unless I’ve missed something we appear to have just walked away

They are defensive because Ukraine are defending themselves from invasion irrespective of their military fire power .

If they'd been supplied to Ukraine so they could  invade let's say Belarus then that's another matter .

Of course they are f**king defensive.

Have the drones been used to kill civilians on Nevski Prospekt?

Get off RT and start facing up to what this abomination that you have frequently praised truly is.

Normal I don’t think there is a parallel

Russia has been feeding Syria so they can be aggressive
The West are supporting Ukraine against an aggressor
