Johnson's face...
« on May 03, 2022, 03:36:18 pm by BillyStubbsTears »
Just look at this. The flash of fear as he frantically thinks "f**k! Did I have a kid that I rejected by a Lorraine?"

Just as a by the way.

Can you imagine the media feeding frenzy if Brown or Milliband or Corbyn or Starmer had not known who Lorraine Kelly was?

Out of touch politicians!

Labour Elite live in a different world!

I just assumed the Lorraine remark was the dead cat to takeaway from the interview.

Talking of Johnson's face...if they ever do some sort of drama about Johnson, the perfect person to play him would be Josh Widdecombe - if you ignore his hair and glasses, I think his facial features are eerily similar to Johnson's.

Johnson probably wouldn’t know who Roy Hodgson is but I don’t think he would panic about someone claiming he had a homosexual affair with him.
Talk about making stuff up.
Come on bst, you claim to be better than this.

John Crace made the same observation.

“Lorraine who?” asked Johnson. For once, this wasn’t an act. He genuinely had no idea who Lorraine Kelly was. It was almost as if he suspected that ITV might have rustled up yet another lover with a paternity suit.

There must be thousands of people who have no idea who Lorraine Kelly is.

Very probably, in a country of tens of millions.

Lorraine Kelly once told me I was "Greet, Brillyan". Then I realised she told everyone they were "Greet, Brillyan."

Not really, a mate of mine's a cooper.

I spend my time being creative, whereas you spend yours being derivative.

Very perceptive, though Johnson still has some chapters to complete before the political obituaries and film bio's  start, where we will be when he does finish god only knows.

He's going to get a major kicking in the council elections on Thursday. Despite his best attempts at playing a Poundland Churchill over Ukraine today. (Playing party politics with someone else's war suffering eh? Where are our local Forum standards police piling in to say how disgusted they are with that?)

How big a kicking will, I think, determine his future. If, as some pollsters are predicting, it's the worst Tory performance for nearly 30 years, I suspect he'll be gone by the end of the summer.

I do believe he will personally try to disassociate himself from the local elections, how bad they will be is debatable, bad as in a few hundred Councillors down, this pretend tory party will kick on with Johnson still seen as the golden goose.
If it goes proper tits up i'm thinking the 1922 committee will be convening to see how they can relieve him of the post, trouble is they have already seen he heir apparent discredited to the point that he would lose the next election, who do they progress ? they still have individuals to develop, Truss trying to evoke the ghost of Mrs T will not wash, there is no one who's been pushed and prepared. Johnson will have to stick it out for a bit longer in the hope he can turn around the MSM again.

Your point about his poundland Churchill is weak when seen from the point of view that all the Europeans are too busy trying to circumvent the restrictions put in place by the west, and all with the tacit approval of the EU (that rules based organisation)

I would rather the west faced another or longer recession than allow countries like Germany, France and Italy to continue to fund the lunatics war chest. If these countries need to see GDP collapse for the next year or so then its a cause worth having to persevere with if it breaks the fighting will of the Russians, some limited suffering now will pay the west massively further down the line. Gas and oil can be sourced elsewhere in time.

The flaw in your theory is that johnson is a narcissist therefore everything and everyone else is a mere prop for use for self promotion.

And because johnson is so dishonest and such an inveterate liar that if he ever did anything for altruistic reasons he would still be suspect.

''Liberal Democrat foreign affairs spokeswoman Layla Moran said it was the right decision but "wrong timing" to send additional weapons to Ukraine, saying it was desperately needed a week ago.

She questioned whether the prime minister had delayed the announcement ahead of local elections, a move she said was "deeply cynical".

Nail on head with this, you really wouldn't want him anywhere near anyone you cared for would you?

"Layla Moran said"

I fell asleep after reading that, nobody listens to a word that comes out of a rent a gob Iliberal.

Wherever he announced his additional weapons and cash to Ukraine, i'm still waiting for The Europeans to put their hand in their deep pockets.

We already know we will have to wait to see if the Krauts can find some ammunition for the clapped out tanks they offered to send.

Grandstanding is all we get from "the rules based organisation", whatever we think of him at least Johnson is putting some hard yards in. Remind me again what the Europeans are doing, what was that, fiddling their payments to the Russians to buy gas and oil and paying for death and destruction in the Ukraine.

And that's the point a good many people are making, that johnson is going OTT (which is good (wilts)) due to his own tenuous circumstances.

I have thought working in an hotel you would be exposed to many different views DD.

I do believe he will personally try to disassociate himself from the local elections

Not half as much as Tory councillors are trying to avoid being associated with him! The local Tory councillor's election bumph came through the letterbox this week, three pages of A4. That's SIX sides of electioneering, and there is only ONE mention of the word 'Conservative' on it...in the printing credit down in the corner of one page, that you need a magnifying glass to see. I had to google the bloke to be sure he was standing as a Conservative because he sure as hell didn't want to let me know himself.
