Dean Windas

Many forum members will recall this character when he played against us from Bradford,' Captain Banter' he spent more time exchanging funnies with the Rovers fans than he did playing football, ie Before taking a corner seemingly adjusting his shorts but was actually barring one of his Ass cheeks at us! In position awaiting a corner walked over to us fans and pointed to the back of the net, when he got back to a ally playing they scored off that corner and he walked into net got the ball and shoving it up his shirt he capered about as if he was a heavily pregnant woman about to go into Labour, pmsl ;)

I played in a celebrity charity golf day at Wheatley GC a few years back  and Dean was there.
He must have a bit of a drink problem because he had a couple of pints before he played, took half a dozen cans out on the course with him and was sinking a few more beers after he played.
Not so bad you might say but he then got into a car and drove himself away.

I'm guessing you didn't report him then?

Had a lot of problems throughout his career but especially after it. He was one of the first high profile footballer's to talk about mental health in the sport:
