Boxing Tonight

Anybody going to be watching AJ try and get his belts back from Usyk?

Unless AJ brings a vastly different game plan to the one he tried in the first fight - which seemed to be to win a fight without throwing punches - I'm struggling to see how he wins, although I hope he does.

I think Usyk far outclassed Joshua last time and I cant see much changing this time to be honest. Usyk on points for me although I wouldnt mind Joshua winning which could mean Fury making a 'surprise' return from retirement in a decider to be unified champion.

Save your money, i think it will be a bore fest. The plain fact is AJ is a very limited fighter, game but has no defence from a technician like Usyk.

He will always have a punches chance if he catches him clean but the likelihood is he will be chasing shadows again and then loosing on points.

Hope to be proven wrong but i just can't see it.

His downfall was going back to London for the bright lights and wrong crowd.  Should have stayed in Sheffield and knuckled down.

I’m on it being not a classic. This could well be the end of AJ unless he changes his approach.  Hopefully he wins.  I wouldn’t put my money on it

Decent effort by Joshua but Usyk has the speed and balance of a cruiserweight.

Two judges scored the fight 115-113 and 116-112 to Usyk, while a third judge gave it 115-113 to the challenger. While there were some close rounds, Usyk was the deserved winner.what fight was the judge watching who gave it to Joshua

More importantly,  Joshua's corner telling him he'd won the first three rounds when he clearly hadn't. They should have been telling him to step up the pace because Usyk had him right where he wanted him.

I get that AJ is a fragile character and needs a bit of belief but during the fight he needs accurate information and assistance,  not smoke blowing up his arse.   That's why he was so shocked at the end.

I like AJ but he was well beaten by an exceptional boxer who will give Fury a good fight.

I said earlier it would be a bore fest and an easy win for Usyk but it ended up being nothing of the sort so plaudits to AJ for having a go but it was always the case that Usyk always looked like he had something in hand, and managed to placate AJ again with superior ring craft and plenty of hard graft. Like others have said AJ is a sensitive sort and is clearly frustrated with his lack of boxing nous, gave it his all but was found wanting by a superb technician.

The scoring was a bit shambolic, if boxing professionals can come up with that sore card mix then what hope for proper close bouts.

Usyk is everything that Davis Haye should of been if he had the minerals, but he obviously didn't.
