It was a tense affair for me; super busy in the away end which was fab.

Proper professional performance.

Thanks for the highlights connection.

I have just got back.

I was close to the Tomlin penalty and I thought the Ref bought the dive.

I am not complaining but Tomlin was waiting for the tackle coming in and when it did he went down like a sack of spuds!!!

Then the old soldier had a massage for 6mins to recover.

Believe it or not Tomlin made a full recover and went on sprinting around the pitch.

He even came back on the pitch and waved good bye to the home supporters as they left the stadium.

Tomlin will do things defenders in this division can’t comprehend and before they know he’s past them. Doesn’t matter if he’s a few yards slower that speed of thought will win games like today.

Buzzing for him and GM hope they keep it up and the signing will be genius

Because he's called Lee and carrying a bit of timber? Must be the only similarities, completely different players. Trundle scored goals for fun, Tomlin is a playmaker.

They also have the same initials.

The ref seemed to initially wave it away then the linesman had a word.

I thought it was a penalty when I saw it live but it looks more dubious when you watch the highlights.

Of course they’re very different players with different roles. But I can see the comparison from the perspective of their ability to do something totally out of the ordinary with the ball. Tomlin has obviously had a far better career and played at the top level.

Tomlin is an up market version of John Doolan who was a real force in midfield.

Completely different types of players aren’t they?

You'll do for me.

Wasn't there and just seen highlights where I thought " that looked a soft pen"

Also heartened to see so few chances being made by  them

Hence why I said a bit like!  Jonathan's hit the nail on the head really, both technically great players at the level they play or played at. I wouldn't necessarily call them overweight but people are quick to write them off because of their body shape or perhaps their perceived attitude . "If they could only get themselves fit what a player they could be" that kind of thing.

Tomlin reminds me of a poor man's version of Andy Warrington.

Bit disappointed not to see Bobby's disallowed goal on any highlights, how does that not make it on?
I don't see the pen as soft at all tbh, Tomlins had his pants down & got round him, risky tackle all day.
