Mad odds. No reason at all why we shouldn't beat Mansfield and shouldn't be favourites for this game. My only doubt is that we have a hangover of getting humiliated in front of our home fans against local 'rivals' as happened several times last season so although we have a hugely better squad and form now, that is in the back of my mind and i wouldn't be surprised to see us put in a stinker.

I think the draw looks best bet at those odds IMO.

Had a treble of us ,Salford and Sutton nearly 10/1.
What could possibly go wrong

It’s how Salford cope without Asante

I took 11/4 on Thursday, ridiculous price for a home side who haven't lost a league game so far, having played most of the top 10 teams.

The Mansfield fans should be in good voice, coaches full in Thorne from about 1145

Now I'm not a gambler at all and seriously get completely baffled by all these odds numbers, what on earth does 14/5 mean? I've read other threads saying how can the bookies have us as non favourites after the start we've had, and quoting silly odds.
Well maybe they think we can't keep this form up and slip up at some point, so do whatever it is they do with the odds, I dunno.
Anyway, good luck you lot that like a flutter, I hope Rovers can make you a few bob today, whatever the odds!

Why were Mansfield fans in Thorne on caoches? Did they miss the M18 turn off for Lakeside?

For some reason they often have a pub crawl in Thorne when they play us.

At odds of 14/5 if you put 5 quid on you'll win 14 quid back (plus you get your fiver back).

Only if you win. The bookies got this one right.  :(

And Wombwell too Hound , loads of away fans visiting not only us but yourselves , Rotherham and Sheffield stop in Wombwell pre match .

No wonder really mind , loads of pubs and £2 a pint .

Good business in these times for local landlords and fish n chip shops .

The bookies get it right many more times than they get it wrong.

I feel like I am in a parallel universe. A team that has won every game at home vs a team that has lost every game away. An obvious home win!
So why did the bookies see it any other way and why did the home team not win? What a bizarre world.

Law of averages maybe? It is weird though i agree. I just felt when i got into the ground and saw the heaving away end that we'd not win. I expected a high scoring draw.

If I was near a bookie I would have put down £100 on a certain win, without doubt.  I have struggled to comprehend how we lost.

I'm not a gambling man, but as explained on other threads, it's nothing to do with what bookies think, but how much money is being lumped on.

Apparently, some people are heavily backing us to lose in almost every game this season for some reason. Up to Saturday, they've been losing out.

Ah that's interesting, I do like the odd quid here and there but never really understod how they get to prices for lower league games so early in the season when there's so much player turnover and so little media coverage. We were 9/2 to win at Northampton. I backed us for the draw or win so only won a few quid but it seemed generous odds at the time. Maybe they read the twitter of the journalist chap who tipped us to finish 20th!

Gabriel Sutton. I'll bet he was delighted on Saturday.

I hope we ram his words up his arse at the end of the season.
