Seven worlds, one planet.

Now this sort of programme narrated by the incomparable David Attenborough is what the BBC excels at.

No other tv station could present such a ‘must watch’ programme for viewers of all ages in my opinion.

I know it was first aired in 2019 but it has lost non of its fascination 2nd time around.

You mean the very same David Attenborough who has spent the last God knows how many years flying around the world and getting paid and who now is spending all his time telling us all that we are killing the planet and we need to stop flying around the world and do more to save the planet?

That David Attenborough?

The same one who abused his public platform and celebrity status in order to blast anti vaxxers as 'ignorant' during the Covid pandemic?

Think i'll give it a miss thanks.  :)

He gets a tick in the "good lad" box for blasting the anti vaxxers in my opinion.

The point i was making about that is whatever his views about the vaccine, he should keep them to himself and not use his celebrity status to push a certain narrative. Which is what he did. He's entitled to his views but like Klopp, Guardiola etc, they should not use their status to try and influence people and promote a certain standpoint.

Especially something as controversial and divisive as the the Covid vaccine.

I'll leave it at that as this is a thread started by CCN3 about Attenborough.

One positive is that he did highlight the plight of animals to a worldwide audience and did so much to educate people about the vast varied nature on our planet.

He should keep his views to himself - isn't that what is known as 'woke cancel culture'?

You forgot about him ‘using his influence’ to highlight the dire consequences of global warming & using ‘stage after stage’ to warn all who had the sanity to listen, that our planet is at ‘5 minutes to midnight’ with regards to it reaching the point of no return.

But hey, what about all those air miles he covered in doing so eh.

Another one taken in by the fake climate 'emergency'. As well as Mr Attenborough.

On the plight of animals, i'm not sure if you have seen some recent footage of an orang utan trying to stop a mechanical digger which is cutting down his environment and reducing his habitat? A tragic thing to witness.

Maybe focus on real issues that will effect animals which is human greed, bloodlust and consumerism causing habitat loss rather than MSM driven mass hysteria about some weather being a bit hotter or colder or wetter than normal now and again.

I doubt orang utans couldn't really give a shit how hot, cold or wet it was if they literally had no habitat left in which to live in.

There ain't gonna be a shortage of pilot whales due to climate change but there sure will be if those barbarians in the Faroes keep slaughtering them for fun every year for no reason other than tradition.

Another ‘Veggie Warrior’.

1. The number of pilot whales is unknown, therefore it is not regarded as an endangered species.

2. Orangutan is all one word as any ape would tell you.

3. Orangutan’s are particularly intelligent animals. It wouldn’t surprise me if the video you saw of one ‘trying to stop a mechanical digger from destroying its home’, wasn’t in fact trying to ask the driver if it could have a turn behind the wheel.
