I think all options are on the table, but I also think my post above still stands even if it's extra investment.

  They have lost £189 million net in the last three years, have a large ageing squad on mega bucks, have a good chance of not making the Champions League or even European football next season; the owners fund it on borrowed money and interest rates are going up and have more way to go.

I am in no way a Liverpool fan but that is totally unfair. They are one of the hardest working clubs in the country for their local community.

According to this report, in the past year they have interacted with 50,000 local people and contributed £23 million of social value to the local economy:

I think the Liverpudlian fans would be against it but the nationwide and worldwide fans not so militant and (as wrong as it is) they create the revenue. Unfortunately money is king in our society and football is no exception.
