Was only other week some was comparing how we played to how it was under Sod. Why we keep hiring inexperienced managers is a joke. Not once has it worked. The whole plan needs looking at imo. However it's not our call and the powers that be will do what they want. JR must be fuming when he sees what's happening an all that hard work no gone.
Our last three managers have had the job for 3 months, 4 months, and 9 months respectively. We’ve now got to trust Schofield and give him this window and the next window. We are going to be in League Two next season and you’d hope that having had two windows to clear out the squad, we’d be in a better place come August. One other point worth remembering. Didn’t the job description have some criteria about playing exciting and entertaining football? It’s currently as bad as it has been since 1997/98.

Give the bloke a chance lets hope he gets the chance to improve things in the window.

The tactics are no different to McSheffrey, the results are no different. you could see that they would score the third and nothing. The atmosphere will soon become toxic unless players of a certain quality are signed and things change, fans have had their fill now.
One area of deep concern is that we had seemingly appointed Copps to effectively make transfer decisions, not the sole reserve of the manager any longer. We made a raft of signings in the summer when Copps was in this post, and we are now struggling to remain mid-table in the lowest professional tier of the game. I’m not wholly convinced this window will be the success many think it will be.
“What I will say about Schofield, he doesn't come across like he's under undue pressure or is likely to panic.
We are exactly mid table. 12th in a league of 24 teams. Our form under Schofield has been 1.3 points per game, compared to 1.5 points per game over the first half of the season in total. We would go backwards if we continue to accrue at 1.3 points per game.

You say this and I agree this is how he comes across, but to me it indicates a single-mindedness and a closed mind to any outside influence. Copps seems a sensitive, considerate individual who listens and I’m afraid Schofield strikes me like someone who will do everything his way and not be easily influenced. Does he ever refer to discussing things with Copps in his interviews?

It's definitely better under Schofield than under McSheffrey.

I think we all know there was a lot more to that. The week before JR said he wouldn't sack him. Still the man he employed built a side that won l1. JR had a knack for picking the right manager.Dickov aside and he almost kept us up. One thing for sure JR wouldn't of hired 3 inexperienced managers on the trot. Water under the bridge now and I don't want to sound like this is a rant at the current owners as we all know there isn't a long line of millionaires chomping at the bit to buy us. We just need a rethink on how there running things. If that's a middle l2 side then say that. Facts are that's where we at at now and it will be a few years to claw our way back to a top half l1 side.
