I have no time for the Women's game, just because of what they did to Belles. A league riddled with more corruption than the Premier League. The FA should be ashamed of itself.

Obviously a hugely corrupt decision on every level, but the same way ‘MK Dons’ have been accepted as a league club, it all gets forgotten about fairly soon. If I owned Rovers I would ensure we boycotted any game against them and just accepted the point deduction and fine. Some things are worth paying a price for.

Yes, they got what they wanted with the WSL becoming a mirror of the mens Premier League and virtually franchised to keep it that way.

Shame the BBC didn't give it as much coverage at the time as they have done 10 years on

I thought exactly the same. At the time this was kicking off I wrote to all of the so-called leading sport journalists at the BBC asking why they weren’t covering the issue. I never received a single acknowledgement. Good article but it’s easy for them to be enraged ten years after the event.
