Starting 11

From what we have seen so far and the different formations played what would your first 11 be.....just for fun fellas let's not lynch anyone!

                           Lawlor

          Olowu    Anderson    Senior

Nixon                                               Maxwell

                       Westbrooke

Molyeneux       Biggins           Sotona

                            Ironside

Thoughts on others :

Bailey - seems a great signing, gives it all, versatile, argument for him in my pick above. I think his place is DCM.

Faal - clearly got something and an amazing first touch at times but SOOOO frustrating with his jogging about! Tough call to drop him but sotona just offers some pace whoch we dont have elsewhere. However Sotona has given us some serious defensive issues playing the position above so close call. Faal definitely given us something in every game he has played just looks so lazy and clumsy at times. Doesn't get his head up enough before taking people on. Looks amazing going backwards though!

Broadbent - looks a good player but I'd go biggins over him

Wood - could swap for Anderson, can see the experience but I think he is being exposed to a lot more than he is used to!

Rowe - Understand he is heading towards being a club legend ish but at the minute depends of he wants to turn up, most of the time he doesn't. Few games he has been head and shoulders above all.

Taylor - nothing to say, let the lad go

Miller - could get goals but can't be in starting 11 choice based on this season having been injured

Close - as above

Hurst - really like this lad but as above regards this season

Sterry - another crock

Roberts - not impressed with this lad, see how he goes.

Might have missed a few, having had a few tonight! Don't hold that against me, we won!!!!

Just wondered what others first 11 would be.

I’ve been thinking about this and it highlights how many options we have IF everyone is fit. Difficult without seeing them all play together but when all fit I’d like to see:

                     Lawler

          Faulkner Wood Senior
Nixon                                   Maxwell
                     Bailey
        Biggins               Rowe

                 Miller  Ironside

This is based on us seemingly not being able to cope with 4-3-3 and our more settled 3/5 at the back formation. Lots of player miss out and if they’re all fit we’d have plenty of options on the bench to change things.

Best line up for me would be.

                Lawlor
       Bailey Wood Senior
Molly Biggins Westbrooke Maxwell
                  Rowe
            Miller Ironside

I liked how we played against Everton where Bailey was right back/ centre back. Think he’s the only one in defence who could play that role. That formation allowed us to pack the middle of the pitch where we are weak.

Olowu has just cost us too many goals so he’s out imo.

Broadbent could make a case to play ahead of Biggins

Miller in because he would get chances if played up with Ironside yet to see enough of Marsh but he might end up been 1st pick.

Rowe would just about keep his place but if Close or Hurst can get fit and play a bit they will push him for that spot.

I would go with this team with a slight change, I would have Nixon as rwb and Molyneux or Hurst in the Rowe position.

Shouldn't Molly Biggins be in the Belles team?  :chair: :chair:
