God he was shit.

Indeed he was, Nudga! But I still recall that wonderful lob into the Yeovil goal a few seasons ago!

Got to admire his determination. Not great but he’s made a fist of it. Fair do’s really.

Actually, WE, it was Theo Robinson who scored with the lob. Main scored the first goal, when he drew the goalie out and slotted it in.

It's ironic that it's where we are on Saturday, Valley Parade, where Main scored an absolute worldy, lashing it in past Jordan Pickford.

I remember a similar one at home, in off the bar towards the end of a game.
Not sure who it was against, possibly Middlesbrough.

Shows how barmy football is, Jordan Pickford Englands number 1 having nightmares about Curtis Main (oh! And Joe Ironside)

I respectfully disagree, the amount of headers he didn't/couldn't/wouldn't jump for was criminal. Most balls bounced over his head.

He made his professional debut in May 2008 and just a contract to take him to June 2024, he’s either got a good agent or doesn’t demand silly money, either way 16 years as professional footballer is a lot longer than the majority of players

Just had a look on Wikipedia to see how old he is and was surprised to see that he’s not 32 until June. Was also reminded about the Oldham loan - we’ve witnessed some shambolic events over the past few years but that one must be right up there.

Thanks for clearing that up, Steve! My memory seems to fading these days…it’s my age, you know!
