The will to winl

Noticed yesterday that after scoring first 2 goals Iroside and Hakeem didn't celebrate much but retrieved the ball from back of net and raced back to centre spot. Obviously not thinking of a draw but wanting the win

You could see from the body language after we scored the penalty that the players were on a mission

I think these players would run through a brick wall for GM. After months of utter dross and watching players barely going through the motions, the will to win yesterday was clearly visible. This squad now believes that the playoffs and ultimately, promotion, are there for the taking. Confidence will be sky high after yesterday’s win. Roll on Tuesday evening!

Ironside was revving the fans in the first minute of the 2nd half when he chased the ball down and earned us a throw in.  I think the players knew that a draw wouldn't be enough and are very much in the mindset of "let's focus on ourselves"

The Barrow commentators were good tbh. They could see it coming.

I'd like to make a special mention for Joseph Olowu again. He had a bit of a wobble first half but he dug in and came through strong. Maybe sometimes in the past he may have gone the other way but since he returned to the team  his performances have been top drawer. He embodies the transition we've been through.

All the players who've taken to the pitch have dug deep and work so hard for each other.

Agreed. Joe had a poor first half and his distribution was also poor but he showed great character and determination to overcome that and have a solid 2nd half. Good on him!!

Don’t underestimate this group of players.

Fatigue will play no part in Tuesday’s fixture.

They are on a mission & it’s a joy to behold, to watch & be part of.

Wembley beckons.

The massive issue in our turnaround this season has been how we've dealt with the physical challenge set by opponents.

For the first 2/3rds of the season, we looked like a team of moderately able kids faced by mesters. We got hassled and harried every time we tried to launch an attack and it was pitiful to watch.

Then suddenly we were playing with a confidence that seemed to come from nowhere. Passing quickly and accurately and making the opposition look like hob nail boot wearing cavemen, rushing into the press to find that the ball had already gone through them.

Yesterday was a different challenge. They sat deep and denied us space to get through or round them for the first 60 minutes. The change of formation was a masterstroke because suddenly we were probing quickly and dangerously from every position.

Makes you wonder what our starting formation should be if we do make the playoffs, because the other managers must have seen and learned from the first 60 minutes yesterday.

Yes, the call from McCann was huge and not one of the players who were subbed off showed any dissent. It was purely a tactical, sh*t or bust move that put us on the knife edge.

Who'd have thought we would become a team of mesters with huge gonads!?

The beautiful, dramatic third goal. Anderson, to Rowe....BIGGINS!!!! What were we saying about these three players futures?
