I put it you that we have never before had such a beautiful run of 4 alliterational fixtures (possibly not even a word) in our getting on for 150 years of history.3 separate competitions but there it is in the list of fixtures. Lovely.Over to you stattos…
Yes it would Goldthorpe, but we may have to wait 50 years for that one.The ‘Bees’ are a bit more common than most so maybe it is more likely to be that letter. S is another possible. We’re now the only D. Our friends in the north Darlo used to be there in my Observer’s Book of Football, just before us and Everton. The Daggers (the other DRFC) made a brief appearance but have since also left the league.

Quite a few Cs too - could easily have had Carlisle, Chesterfield, Crewe, Colchester etc in the same division? Let alone Chester a few years back and I almost forgot Cambridge too, now Cheltenham, Crawley. Charlton not so often, and forget Chelsea!!

Maybe this thread is a total waste of everyone’s time.
Not sure if this counts. However, 15/16 season, Rovers had a sequence which went;24 Nov: Chesterfield (H) W 3-028 Nov: Coventry (a) D 2-206 Dec: Cambridge (a) W 3-1 (FAC)12 Dec: Crewe (H) W 3-2
