£6.50 a pint of Madri in Belle Vue Bar today. Dearer than some Premier teams!

Never been so cheap! buy 650 pints and you get one for free, courtesy of the Labour Party!

Top post of the day? Might have waited until midweek when we don’t have a game to raise the subject of the cost of a pint? Did you feel any excitement at the game today?

I don't often go in but I genuinely thought the lady serving misheard me and thought I asked for two pints... £6.50 is unfathomable

What ever happened to the beer deals they used to have two pints for £10.50 I think it was £6.50 is a bit steep ,cheswold change £9 for 2 pints

I was at a wedding on Saturday at the Kenwood Hotel Sheffield £7.50 a pint, fair nearly passed out, the saving grace was that I had packed a bottle of Jacks and a bottle of Red Stag, so frequent trips up to our room were the order of the day

You don't have to pay £6.50 a pint. That's the Premium option. Carling is £5.90 I believe.

Most grounds and other 'outdoor' events, races, concerts etc are usually more too.

Rotherhams premium beer (Poretti) was about the same but their standard option was dearer (Carlsberg?) than ours.

In all fairness, Carling could be 59 pence and I wouldn’t pay it.

Other year was better when they had Stella in the BVB.

They know they can charge it because there aren't any proper boozers nearby.

Night games I've got no chance of going town for a beer before the match.

I came here to say this.
Madri, that "Spanish" beer, biggest con going & if that's a premium I'm going tee total.
Sign of how desperate we all were for a pint after the lockdowns.

If it was cheaper they'd sell even more, possibly making more money.

Making that judgement is a fine art Nudga. If you're good at it,and the underlying algorythms you have an assured and remunerative career. These prices won't be worked out by a finger in the air....

That's a great point. I said to my mate at the beginning of the season, if they added £50 to the price of our season tickets, it would still be relatively good value, so I don't want to complain too loudly.

Don't Accrington reduce all beer to £2 after the game (5-6pm) if they win?

That's something I suggested sometime ago, knocking 50p or £1 off, but Centerplate wouldn't  have it.  Might be worth exploring that again with DN4 catering but, will it generate more sales?

Not sure if this is accurate RR, we stayed around Southwark June this year and had to kid ourselves the prices were in dollars, approx two dollars to a quid.
