Has anyone looked at the time ....
« on November 10, 2024, 09:03:16 am by Donnywolf »
.... between their Goal being given and the exact time that the game restarted ?

I am completely sure that it will be way more than the 2 minutes that the Clown of a Ref allowed for Added Time at the end of the half

I do hope the bloke I saw in press box was indeed the Referee Assessor and he noticed that. Another for McCann to have a word with the Ref over

1 the wrestle on McGrath
2 2 minutes Added Time
3 the Pen and Red Card on Molly ( DOGSO)
4 3 Minutes Added Time at the end *

* We played exactly 3 minutes and if people remember their bloke was wrestling Teddy to keep the ball from him. That must have been a full minute of added time lost AND the instant Teddy kicked it the Clown blew up for time

Whatever happened to " a minimum" of 3 minutes Added Time ?

Otherwise ( though the two penalty claims were vital ) he refereed well especially in the way he let the game flow and was not as yellow  card happy as some are .

Ye you’re right. It was a long stoppage after their goal. Where’s the bucket of sand gone for the moronic flares?
On the subject of added time, what ever happened to that new rule of the red stopping his watch to make up for the ball being out of play? Was it  the start of the season last year, we had something like 13 minutes of added time one home game?

He could have carded their keeper in the first half for time wasting. That might have speeded him up a bit.

It needs as I am sick of saying a fixed 30 minutes per half.

An official to stop the clock every time ball goes out , and restart the clock as soon as the ball is back in play

Just imagine those 50 second Goal kicks * gone. Creeping down the line with a throw in waiting to be sent back by Ref , gone

Fake injuries , gone , Added Time gone

The ball is in play now in Premiership games around 60 minutes on average so fixed clock is in line with that

* Anyone notice in 1st half their keeper trundling for ball , ignoring the one on Cone and fetching the ball that had just gone out by corner flag. He then returned and rolled the ball across the 6 yard line for Centre Back to take the kick

A tortoise could have overtaken the ball and the CB ( maybe on 3 grand a week ) actually missed the ball when it got to him

We are paying money to watch people work out how NOT to play the game we have paid to watch

Quick question-has the rule where the keeper can only hold the ball for so long (was it 6 seconds) been rescinded, we actually noticed yesterday that the keeper had it for 15 seconds (and then was out of his area when he kicked it)

According to this , it's alive but very rarely enforced as we saw yesterday

By the way my question was a genuine one.

What time did their goal go in please
What time did we kick off again after the Flare had burnt out *

* Haven't we got any metal buckets ?

Howard Webb on the over last podcast said that referees won't play to this rule because it's not consistent worldwide whereas prem and EFL refs might use it but then it won't be implemented in say LaLiga but is technically still a rule. But something they are currently trailing in Premier League 2 is that now if the goal keeper holds it for longer than 6 seconds the opposition get a corner kick rather than an indirect free kick where it's just a free for all in the box a corner is probably a better advantage but whether it comes to fruition further up the pyramid who knows? But sounds promising and good to see they are trailing stuff like this as it a pet peeve.

I think the ruling on flares has been changed they must be allowed to burn out before being moved

Correct, all about Elf and Safety
Mindst you the ref didn't allow enough added time after it IMO

Exactly right. It's EFL guidance which says the referee cannot restart the game until the flare has burnt out.

Did you notice the referee telling their goalkeeper to keep away?
