You have to chuckle about decisions like that. That West stand linesman witnessed players stealing about 10 yards at several throw-ins right in front of him (especially in the first half). They were allowed to get away with that, but a tiny technicality like a suspicion of the ball moving slightly when the keeper kicks it is frowned upon like it's a massive advantage and must not be allowed to happen!

It looked to me like it had just stopped rolling as he kicked it. We sit almost in line with it and I was shouting don’t kick it as he drew his foot back but it did seem to stop just before he kicked it.
Like the ref, that linesman wasn’t fit for purpose. I couldn’t believe just how quick they were to give free kicks for them whilst ignoring some more obvious ones to us.

The ball was still moving when he re-took it too, but they missed that.

What does ironside have to do to be awarded a free kick.??

I also thought the ball had stopped moving when Teddy kicked it.

I did too but IF it actually was moving then it was to such a minuscule degree that it could have made no material difference to the kick.

I think Ironside looks for free-kicks and should perhaps try being a bit stronger when contact is made.  Perhaps he doesn't get the free kicks he 'deserves' because the refs have got wise to him.

Absolutely. I said on Saturday that when Lewis Guy kept falling over, apparently looking for a free kick he was given Dog's abuse. Ironside appears to do the same thing regularly but gets away with such condemnation. He's not the only one, either.

In my opinion, our players prioritise being victims of fouls far too often, and when they actually are fouled, it is a bit like crying wolf in the official's eyes.

Funny, I don't remember Lewis Guy scoring 20 goals in a season.

Maybe because he kept falling over instead of going for a goal.
