Crikey, these things won't go away will they. Mind you, it was a huge scandal at the time with our club just being a small part in the corruption and how the foot soldiers worked doing the dirty work for the bigger cheeses involved.

It was all related to property acquisition and selling for profit, which Belle Vue was just one. Others included turfing out residents of an OAP home, often involving 'heat' being put on owners to sell, including Richardson...one document allegedly falsified Richardsons signature.

Anyway, better stop there as fortunately for us, Phelan failed to achieve his masterplan...including installing a 'patsy' cheif Executive to make it look like they were interested in the football side of the club.

I find the whole sorry fascinating, I’ve read a lot regarding the accusations, but still have many questions, was O’Brien actually involved? Did he want to buy the club? Didn’t John Ryan say he was involved?i even read about the Irish consortium meeting in Zurich? This the same consortium behind sequentia capital? So confused.

John named the name at the V.S.C. game. It was funny how it came out really. He was dancing round who the individual was and then got carried away and sort of said, something like well it is ######— as though well we all know now. So he must have been confident that it was going through.

In the news this week over here in Ireland with the dail being suspended twice the other day over rows about speaking time with Michael Lowry (who still gets elected over here) right in the middle of it. A snake. Possibly made the news in the Uk?
