Impstalk on twitter under the impression skubala will be using Street, House and Draper as his main attacking options so think this is the last we see of him in the red and white of rovers

100% it will be for the coming season at least anyway. We can’t afford him and Lincoln won’t loan him to use especially being in the same division even if he was surplus to requirements which I doubt given his spell with us.

He should be a regular for Lincoln next season however, the ‘dark side of me’ hopes he gets few starts, scores nil goals, feels ‘unloved’ & recalls the previous season he had at Doncaster Rovers.

More than that, I hope we leave Lincoln trailing in our wake come January 2026.

Then comes that ‘cheeky bid’.

The top scorer for Lincoln City this season was James Collins, who they only signed in January from Derby County on a deal until next summer. He will also turn 35 later this year.

Nobody else in the Lincoln City squad got near double figures. They were also the second lowest scoring side in the top half of the table.

If you look at that, Collins isn’t a long term fix for them. Street is 12 years younger than him. They’d be mad to sell him to a near financial rival when their main guy is knocking on the door of 35.

Came here advertising himself as the quickest player in the squad but kept it a secret his actual best quality is his strength.

I am shocked how old he is -   we all remember him from the season Marquis was joint top scorer John Edward Marquis (born 16 May 1992) is only almost 33  -  he was about 3rd top scorer that year and improved in the following years  Luton bought him - so did the bloke who came 4th can't remember his name.

If it wasn't for some South African fan putting money into the club they would be in trouble (that statement was true 18 months ago) - he was also getting his S.A. friends to put money in

hang on we have this on wikipedia about him

"On 18 May 2024, Derby County confirmed that Collins was in talks to extend his contract at Derby with his deal expiring in June 2024.[95] On 2 July 2024, Collins signed a one-year contract extension at Derby, extending his stay at the club until June 2025.[96] Collins failed to score for Derby during the 2024–25 season, starting only twice on 20 first team appearances.[97] Collins scored 31 times in 118 appearances over his two-and-a-half years at Derby.[98]

Lincoln City
On 20 January 2025, Collins signed for Lincoln City on an 18 month deal, with an option of another year.[99] He made his debut against Peterborough United coming off the bench to score and make the game 5–"

update

that 4th bloke i couldn't remember is Godden 33 year old and i have just seen him bang in 2 goals for Charlton-- meaning there were some good strikers in the league that season

Matthew James Godden (born 29 July 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Charlton Athletic.
