Ile be honest the benches don’t look that comfortable, maybe an upgrade needs? Individual chairs etc? Rubber padded.i know I’m nit picking, just trying to change the little things that might add another level.

Most changing rooms are the same in modern stadiums. In the lower leagues ours are better than most others.

I think the surroundings are pretty good for the level and hit the right level while remaining grounded (I’ve not been in the away changing rooms but as the Dons use them as their home dressing room I imagine they are identical). The thing that struck me when my lad was a mascot was the ‘surrender the me for the we’ banner - certainly words this team has lived by.

The away dressing room doesn’t have that extra warm up bit. That’s the only difference apart from blue and yellow colour scheme,Dons and Belles colours.

Apparently the away dressing is/was the biggest in the country.

Great facility behind the scenes and very accommodating and comfortable for away teams. I bet they’ve seen some sights of away dressing rooms in L2.

I've played on the pitch a couple of times and we used the home dressing room. Facilities are top-class!

I'd rather players be uncomfortable in the dressing room and more comfortable on the pitch.

In the very early discussions with Peter Wetzel about the new stadium with supporters representatives it was suggested by the fans that the stadium should not offer any advantage to the away side. As well as a suggestion that there should be an away fans corner rather than an away fans end it was also mooted that the away dressing room be smaller and less ‘encouraging’ than the home dressing room. Clearly the decision was made to dispense with all of that and as a result we’ve had internationals and RLFC semi finals etc played there and that’s probably been a good thing.

Everyone was also keen on building in the unique 3 tunnels that Belle Vue had but that didn’t make the final plan either.

Why did the away teams have to use one of the smaller dressing rooms  3 or 4 at the latter end of the season?

Why did the away teams have to use one of the smaller dressing rooms  3 or 4 at the latter end of the season?

Originally it was because the Dons were at home straight after the Carlisle game, so both away teams (Carlisle and Toulouse) used the academy. McCann suggested keeping it that way to mess with the opponents. Seems to have worked on the whole.

(For those unaware, the away teams have been getting changed in the academy since Carlisle.)

Wasn’t aware of that, but is that why GA said he didn’t hear what was happening because he stated the corridors are quire lengthy.
