Vale v Cardiff

Just watching this game, strange thing is Vale are playing in a beige shirt with no club crest or sponsors logo on it. Looks dead plain and weird.

It's white and it just has PVFC in white thread on it. No sponsor. Commemorate a club anniversary or something. It looks beige in the evening light.

However, more to the point, Cardiff are rubbish.

Just spotted that crest stitching  Rob, it really is difficult to see, and yes, Cardiff are bloody awful.

Yeah, it's supposed to be understated, apparently to the point of invisibility.

I think Cardiff are not going to be up at the top of the table like many have tipped. I know it's early days still, but they really don't seem to have much at all. All very easy to play against.

Vale just had a goal disallowed with a dodgy offside decision. Looked slightly onside to me.

Are Cardiff awful, or are Vale decent?

Cardiff are awful, Vale are the better side and should be in front, but they just can't hit the target.

Also, I'd fine Waine a week's wages for shooting when he had no chance of scoring and not slipping the player in on the overlap to his right.

Vale looked like they have learnt a lot of the dark arts of shirt pulling.

Vale were the better side hard working and had the skill but couldn’t score that’s going to be the difference this season. Taking chances that are created

Agreed. There is no scope to be wasteful in this division. The lack of actual shots on target in the two televised games has been quite stark.

Cardiff were miles away from where they were last week, they have serious quality in Tanner and the young forward ,and they know how to pass a ball around at speed. Whatever they tried went wrong tonight, in part down to Vale.

Vale were decent and hardworking, they had clearly been revved up to give everything in this game - not a chance they maintain that level of intense running, you may have seen 3-4 going down with cramp and hobbling around at the end.
Glad someone mentioned the dark arts, they took it to a new level tonight and got away with most of it - Cardiff should’ve had a penalty though shirt pulling, but were lucky with the lino, the vale goal was onside.
This was a Vale side looking a little too desperate to get the first points on the table - but perhaps I am biased against Moore.

The shirt had the Puma/Slazenger logo opposite the PVFC, but also had Catapult across the shirt, presume this was the sponsor, but was more difficult to see the the PVFC.
Wonder what Adrian from pass logistics would be saying if we did that!

Yeah also noticed that too, seemed like their first priority was to grab hold of the shirt or anything else they could grab.

Why don’t the players wear tighter fitting shirts.?  Isn’t that what they do in rugby these days.?
