Thank you - memorabilia exhibitions.

Just a note to say thank you to all those people that visited the Doncaster Rovers memorabilia exhibitions at Mexborough and Askern libraries and the test event with Rovers Connects.

I'm pleased to say that both events were a great success and that we have had the opportunity to talk to many people about their memories of watching Rovers over the years.

We are very appreciative of those that lent us things to display and those that have helped out and supported the project. So Ray, Scott, Phil Q, Brian, Phil M, John, Gavin H, Martin, Rob, Kate, George and Rita - Thanks for everything. We couldn't have done it without you.

To those that showed us their cuttings, stadium models, programmes etc., we were very pleased to see you. To the elderly gentleman at Askern that remembered watching Stan 'Dizzy' Burton play, thanks, I only wish we had had more time to talk.

A special mention to Gavin Baldwin who allowed us to use the memorabilia that the club has and who was kind enough to attend both events and give his support.

Finally I'd personally like to thank Rich Stevens, the main man when it came to organising it all. I had a lot of "stuff", but Rich was able to bring the exhibition to life with stadium recreations, the life size models of the 1879 and 1946 kits and great artwork. I could never have done that.

I hope everyone enjoyed it.

Hi Colin what a fantastic exhibition you and Rich put on, I was proud to be a bit player to help out. No one's realises the many hours  and effort you and Rich put into this project. It was great to see Gavin Baldwin and his daughter plus Shaun Lockeood taking the time to visit and support on a busy match day we are all RTID.
