I wonder what state Millmoor is in? I thought it had been abandoned. If it has, it must be a wreck by now...

I think a local either football or rugby team use it for their games, or did recently.

Thanks chaps! Didn't know that. Google didn’t say much either beyond 'local clubs'. So I was wondering who's paying for the upkeep? Even if only one stand is used it can't be a cheap place to run. So bravo to whoever has taken on that task.

Yes, when Rovers played Rotherham last pre season, we went to have a look at it, as we heard it was back in use again. Still half finished main stand like.

Belles are now playing in Retford it seems. Due to Booth’s scrapyard entering administration Millmoor isn’t available. Any more details?

Pity as I fancied a trip to Millmoor this year and was checking the fixtures. I wonder if it’ll now face demolition and redevelopment. It would be great if there was a mad heritage plan to keep it, but the odds are against it.

Mate of mine is a Rotherham fan (bless him) reckons there is a covenant that the land has to be for sport otherwise it would have been built on years ago

Yes I think you’re right, I’d forgotten that. It was being used by local clubs for a while too, not just Belles.

Well, your clearly being pedantic and ignoring my point. Either intentionally or not.

Make a point instead of whinging and perhaps it won't get ignored.

And that’s your idea of a mature post? Tut, tut.

Usher w.

Tony Soprano.

May I politely but firmly suggest you stop posting about matters you clearly know very little about.

Like football.

It's the level of maturity a TonySoprano post commands.

The owner of the scrap yard died ( Ken Booth’s son )recently, well he must have my mate’s dad went to his funeral. Even though he hasn’t used it as a scrap yard recently because of the business being in trouble, he’s been taking stuff down to Briggs metal, opposite the Newark sugar factory, better prices etc

Belles will play home games for rest of season at Retford FC due to Booths going into administration / no more use of Millmoor.

One of the 3G pitches at the Ecopower will be converted to permanent Belles home ground from next season - this conversion part of a larger revamp of the facilities around the EcoPower.

Belles have parted company with Amanda Greenslade and a new manager is in place for Sunday’s crunch game away at York City.
