We should not be judged against Stockport, Cardiff or Plymouth. Agree with this, it was touched on by Grant in his interview, we have to have a bit of perspective, & realism on how far we have come, the effort was there, but just lack that bit of quality that teams like Plymouth have, that's just down to having better quality players, we're not there yet, but we still made them look bang average for that first half. The change of formation today was a positive for me, looked much better.I'm going to repeat it again. Plymouth didn't have any quality today. We had quality. Lee scored an absolutely amazing goal and in that first half he was flicking and controlling balls with absolute panache. The difference is we wasted it.

We are a L1 club, we are just hovering around at our rightful level. How long has it taken us to get out of L2 in recent history when we’ve actively tried to? Not very long.

Quote from: steve@dcfd on March 07, 2026, 06:26:50 pmLook at the stats for the season so far played 34 games scored 37 goals 4th worst in the league conceded 57 goals second worst in the league. We are were we deserve to be. Any of you see that differently then your expectations are higher than they should be. We didn't have the funds to get two league one standard centre halves in January we get players that nobody else wants and think we can improve them. I completely disagree with any chat about poor budgets or the funds not being there. It’s obviously not true. We are wasting money on some pretty ordinary men.

Awful. No. But people see what they want. Two crap goals to give away, I get that but Hanlon will get dogs abuse and Clifton as always. But they put a shift in
Quote from: Spilsby Red on March 07, 2026, 05:03:29 pmYes terrible defending for there goals. However, the players gave there all. And that’s what mattersIf that was giving your all we really are F@&*$d.

Did the lads work hard today? yes of course they did, don’t know how anyone could say they didn’t.Was there poor defending? Yes particularly the second goal where Byrne lost his man.Was it a better formation? I reckon it was, we certainly got forward more. Wasn’t impressed when sterry came on, he seemed to be all over the place.Should Plymouth have been down to 10 in first half? Definitely their caption should have been off, this would have led to a vert different game.I think the Plymouth commentary team said it, there were very impressed with us, except for the final third.

Not only did he NOT get a Yellow for that but completely dissed the Ref throwing his arms about , pointing to a (perhaps) previous tackle on him , and it was long and it was obvious and the Card Happy Ref overlooked it. Personally I think he should have pulled a Yellow straight out and said " Ill overlook the "tackle" but this is for the clear dissentI wasnt surprised to see Pepple repeat the dissent in the second half and the Ref had grown some and showed him a Yellow. I was surprised to see the Card happy Ref show a Yellow to Senior for time wasting in the First half when not putting a throw in into play , but I wasnt surprised to see him ignoring much longer spells of time wasting , especially Goal Kicks once PAFC were the Team in the lead. Inconsistency again clearly demonstrated by same Ref in same game
