It's a no brainer to increase our income streams through our commercial activities. This is where the new American owners have brought their expertise to
our game in maximising the opportunities in hospitality, sponsorships and advertising. We've pretty much run out of advertising space and hospitality spaces so we'd be foolish not to address this and generate more regular income the management team can spend how they choose to improve our overall performance including raising standards at the training ground, where the players and staff spend most of their time.

Lincoln are seeing the effect of this from their American major shareholders who have given the club a new direction and sense of purpose and through their connections have now brought in new money and expertise who will increase their commercial income even further, which will enable them to expand their stadium and facilities. It's the foundations for enabling them to recruit the people who can recruit the likes of Rob Street on a 4 year contract.

What F** budget . It’s been the same excuses for over a decade .last season  PA system £600k New Gym £650k . Poor Loans and a pensioner for a striker  . Get the priorities of scoring goals and everything takes care of its self . Winning makes money !!

You are daft. What makes you think top players are gonna want to come to a decrepit training ground, rubbish gym, stadium falling apart. It all links together.

It’s pretty obvious we’ll be going through a sale of the club soon and all this infrastructure investment tells you that and can only help us in the long run. Just look at some of the improvements, they’re Matchday experienced based. Tannoy, LED advertising, big screen, fan park (to come?).

With the new regulator people will only be buying clubs that are modernised to be set up to grow and grow revenue (and therefore value of the club). We will have never been as attractive to a buyer as we are now.

We will be under new ownership within the next 2 seasons I would say. I just hope they aren’t the usual American lot.

People will complain about the digital advertising boards no doubt.
No it’s a great thing for those who see digital advertising as a strong media . But. My point is , we spend a lot of money on the clubs infrastructure yet the football teams can’t buy a striker or have its own goal keeper on the books . The club has a large squad on the books but loans other teams prospects that don’t always contribute so we selects from usual suspects every week because  most are not good enough for first team duties. Investment is what the clubs playing side needs more than light bulbs . Irony is we only use 3/4 of our floodlights on a match day .. because we’re saving them

I wonder if we’ve explored putting a big advertising banner over the seats, could do first two rows given they have a poor view, you’d only reduce capacity by about 1,800 which let’s be honest doesn’t matter for us. Would make some extra money and make the stadium look less empty.

I’d put good money on our budget being a fair bit higher for next season than this, as that’s because the clubs revenue will be projected much higher for the upcoming season than this. Why do you think revenue will be projected higher?… Because of things like extra advertising income.

We are literally running out of space for advertisements, they have stated this. It’s a one off high cost that will be earning every year so it’s eventually going to pay itself off.

Maybe we should use the front of the stand roofs for advertising. As they are, they look unfinished anyway, and perhaps having the ads hanging a bit lower in the East stand will block out the blinding sun a bit!

How about restoring the players tunnel and give the match day presentation entrance a bit more meaning  Or sorting out the dugouts so player sit in the same type of  seats the rest of the hangers on in the front row sit on . I’ve never seen players looked so cramped and irritated every time they have go out and warm up …

Perhaps the reason we can’t buy a striker or keeper (atm) is because it’s taken solid funding to keep Molyneux, Bailey, and turn down reasonable money for what they think are our current great prospects.
Perhaps a load of bulbs = a new striker. Then we move on to other improvement in media income and buy a keeper whilst at the same time keeping our best players.
The essence of all this is that the club is moving forward in various ways. This is very important as one Mr O’Driscoll once said
“If you stand still, you actually go backwards”
