I can’t see their being many takers at those prices, most people will find there own way, flights, hotels, travel and find it cheaper

Can we even buy tickets off our own back? That’s not looking very obvious right now reading that. I won’t be going if not and I doubt many at all will be except the small group of supporters bus regulars.

Surely we can pay on the day? I’m just waiting on kick off times and ticket info. I’m looking forward to exploring Ireland using the trans link app. The games will hardly be a sell out.
Thanks to Draytonian for the tips. I will have a spare day on the Friday. Any tips of what to do with a 16 year old in Belfast or surrounding area?

I'm hearing Shelbourne on the 14th July. Just the ten minute drive from my house.

I can provide plenty of information about the area, pubs etc prior to the time. Only issue is my other team Shamrock Rovers could well be playing across town in the champions League that night. Typical.

Will be no issue paying on the day lads.

Unless one/some clubs have backed out late on, it’s the 3 opposition I posted up a fortnight ago. St Patrick’s 14th, Glenavon 16th and Linfield 18th. I’m not trolling that.

Been told we can do the trip separately on our own accord. They’re gonna find out if it’s just pay on the night. Sound, looking forward to it again now

I don’t know about the St Pats Ath ground but I’m not going there, but Glenavon’s Mourneview Park holds about 3,500 and they only get about 1500 for a league match including away supporters, the times I’ve been the away support is all down one side opposite the dug outs.
The Linfield match is at Windsor Park and that holds 18,000, they only get about 2,500 there unless it’s a Bel-Classico.
Any one who’s into Horse Racing there’s an evening meeting at Down Royal on the Friday.
The open top bus trip around the city is worth while, so is the Titanic experience.
Failing that it’s a great place to go drinking  !!
If you’re into Motorbikes there’s Joey’s bar at the train station at Ballymoney, which pays homage to the late great Joey Dunlop, with loads of memorabilia, bikes, helmets etc.

Pat's ground is an old school stadium behind a row of houses a couple of miles from Dublin city centre. It's small enough but they probably only sell out for Dublin derbies or if they are flying in the league. The fact is that other than the die hards, mid season friendlies don't exactly set the world alight (unless it's against Man United or Real Madrid). There are loads of matches in the league and cup here coming up, Pats are second in the league now and will have important league games the weekends either side of the friendly too so I'd expect a second string team. Should be different against the Northern teams who will also be in pre season.

I’ve managed to engineer myself working in Belfast on the 15th, 16th & 17th and am staying with my work colleague (whose son is a Glenavon ST holder) at her house. She says she’ll give us a lift there and back! Happy days! Will make st least one of the games st the expense of my company (except the ticket price of course!).

St Patrick’s Athletic - Tues 14th July
Glenavon - Thurs 16th July
Linfield - Saturday 18th July

My guesses.

All 3 now confirmed.

Could be a good following for this, especially Linfield! I fancy the race night on the Friday at Down Royal too.

I’ve paid under £40 for a return flight to Dublin. Only doing the game on the 14th but it’s cheaper than most away games!

If anyone just wants to do the one game it is easily doable flying from Manchester and prices are very reasonable.

St Patrick's Athletic's ground Richmond Park is an old school stadium in Inchicore which is in the south inner city of Dublin. There's plenty of buses that go there from the city centre and the tram (called the Luas) here will leave you about ten minutes walk from the stadium. It's also quite near the Guinness brewery and just a short taxi ride from there if you wanted to do that while in Dublin. In terms of Boozers, there's a cracking pub called the Royal Oak about ten minutes walk from the stadium. Only problem is it's tiny and often packed but given it's a Tuesday, might be a better chance of getting to the bar. I'll list some other good boozers closer to the time.

As I’ve mentioned before get the Translink App for your phone, it covers trains , buses, and the Glider which are purple bendi buses, that have their own bus stops and tickets have to bought before travelling from the machines at the stops
