Squad may improve.................

On the Injury crisis to key players here's a chink of light:

Waide of the Fairhurst had his first day back training on Tuesday.

Martin of the Woods may be available this weekend or next.

Of course would like to see Woodsy back as soon as possible but Fairhurst has started 2 matches for us this season and scored 2 goals :woohoo:  Of course we can not boot our great players out of the team to give him some match time but he surely deserves more match time when he can fit in.

I think as cover for Billy is a bonus. I think to have him on the bench is a bonus, to have him as an 50-60-70-80 minute impact player is a bonus. I think just for Sean to have an option of possibly 2 like players up front, or dropping him behind or whatever, just having options is a huge boost for Sean with our current squad today.

That said, I did say first day back training as he's been out for a few months. It may be some time before he's match fit. We might even be safe by the time he's up for selection.

Woods will be a huge boost to the midfield strength in depth, once he's back, and if his injury does not hinder his capabilities.

I think given that we're likely to be close to safety with no push for the play offs on the horizon that the run in could be and should be a chance for Waide Fairhurst to get a little run in the team.  We need to see if he's good enough, he needs that chance soon.
