Aside of play off talk.................
« on March 29, 2010, 10:18:44 am by CusworthRovers »
After the next round of games this Saturday:

1. Posh cannot catch us (although this was decided before Saturday).

2. If Plymouth fail to beat us, they cannot catch us.

3. If Palace lose and we win, then they cannot catch us.

A tremendous achievement again DRFC in the 2nd Tier of English Football.

Possibly safe with 5 games to go, on April 3rd. Anybody remember how soon we did it last season?

I remember the game, it was Plymouth away, a 3-0 win and Bob G reminiscing over how he never thought we would better that day at Wembley - I never thought we would better Stoke!

I'm interested in when Sheff Weds can't mathematically catch us.  The Wendies fans at work will be paying up on that day!  Ker-Ching!

Just done some long winded calculations.  Basically, if the teams lower down win every game they play until the end of the season, home and away, 58 points is the highest some of them would get to, based on them playing each other.  Therefore, it's fair to conclude that this is both not going to happen and is also based on us not getting any wins.  In other words, barring the top half losing every single game remaining, there being no draws etc, we're safe.
