RIP to one of heavy metal`s most powerful voices Ozzy Osbourne was a hard act to follow fronting Black Sabbath, but Ronnie filled those shoes

Very sad to hear of his death, he was great in Sabbath and what I've heard of him in Rainbow and Dio is also fantastic.
R.I.P. to a heavy metal legend.

Echo all of the above.
'Holy Diver' is one of the all time classic Metal albums, and Dio had one of the most powerful voices going, you'd struggle to find a nicer bloke as well.
Glad he's been mentioned here, when you see some of the so called 'celebrities' getting mass coverage in the National Press / News when they pass away, (Jade Goody anyone), yet a legend like Dio barely gets a passing mention.
R.I.P. to the legend

Dio was great live. Saw him a couple of times in the 80's and he was due to do a few of the festivals this summer with Geezer Butler and a couple of the other old guys, whose names a can't remember.
He also cancelled a tour recently due to his stomach cancer that local band Black spiders were going to support him on.

First became aware of Ronnie via Rainbows \"Long Live Rock n Roll\" album(I'll dig the vinyl out tonight)
Did an excellent job replacing Ozzy in Sabbath and Heaven and hell is a true classic
Saw Dio at Donington 87 in the pissing rain and they were great
In interviews you saw and heard he always came across as a genuinely nice guy.Check out the dvd \"Metal-A
Headbangers Tale
It says a lot that he'll probably only get a few collum inches when talentless nobodies(Goody/Gately) are
subject to gushing 16 page tributes
R.I.P Ronnie
