New Doncaster Website
« on June 09, 2010, 07:11:33 pm by MrFrost »
My company has recently been appointed to develop a new website promoting Doncaster and the area. It will consist of covering lesire, entertainment, nightlife, resteraunts, hotel's etc aswell as the latest news from the area, traffic and travel, that kind of thing.

The people involved are also wanting local people to write articles, reviews and things like that, so I thought i'd ask about on here if anyone would be interested in contributing.

Its going to take a couple of month to get the site up and running anyway, but if you are interested, drop me a line.

Cheers

May I ask who has appointed your company to produce this website? (no hidden agenda, just curiosity)

It is an individual setting up in business. It is a totally independent site, no ties to the council or anything like that.

You could ask BST to contribute with some of his political views
But then again viewers to your site might appreciate something more factual and relevant to modern Doncaster.

You're kidding right? But just in case you're not...

You can't even spell 'leisure' or 'restaurant' correctly. That's not a great start really. I sincerely hope you can find it within you to promote Doncaster in a more positive light than you promote the football club anyway, otherwise we're f**ked.

I wanted to point that out too as well as a couple of other grammatical errors but did not want to get a FROSTY reception

What are you? An English teacher?

Fortunately, the software we use carries a spellchecker, unlike this forum. I don't bother to check spelling on forum posts either. When you can manage the number of keystrokes I do per minute, there are bound to be mistakes.

And no i'm not kidding. Why would I be?

Because the very idea of having a self-obsessed neurotic manic-depressive having a company, nevermind a company that's responsible for promoting Doncaster, is plainly ridiculous for all to see. Except you of course.

Explain how I am a self-obsessed neurotic manic-depressive.
I'd love to hear your argument.

And for your information, if you had read my original post, we have been appointed to design the site. Not to produce it's content.

Explain it? That'd be like trying to explain to old Adolf that the jews are really a decent bunch. Do you never read your own posts? Oh no, I forgot you're too busy with your keystrokes to care. Can I suggest that you spend the afternoon going through your posts and then try and spot the recurring theme.

If you use firefox, there`s a plug in spell checker you can download that will work on this forum and other forums. I thought an IT whizz would know that though  ;)

I'm too busy for that i'm afraid. I'll just have to take your word for it.

I'm using Safari. It does actually have a spell check function, however it isn't turned on.

I'm not Don King.  :P

I'm not even called Viking. Or Don.    I don't usually use emoticons.

But yes, I am self-obsessed. It comes with the territory, I think, therefore etc..

I'm not neurotic though. I'm trying.
