World Cup and WW2
« on June 25, 2010, 08:27:32 pm by ScillyRover »
Apologies if this has been aired in another thread, but the parallels to events in this World Cup and WW2 are uncanny....

\"Qualification for the last 16 phase of the World Cup has ended just like World War 2. The French surrendered early, the Americans turned up late, the Italians gave up and The English are left to fight the Germans! \"

 :)

So it's a USA-Japan final and an explosive finale?

According to your analogy, the Japanese should start carting off Koreans to brothels any time now and the defeated Germans should emigrate to Argentina. Should be an interesting couple of weeks

Oh aye. And we'll be guided to victory against the Germans by some moody Kitson with a face like a bulldog licking piss off Bella Emberg's tits.

Wayne...your moment of glory awaits...

Although the game kicks off on Sunday, Reuters are reporting 15,000 towels on seats in the Free State Stadium, Bloemfontein.
