Never mind England...
« on June 23, 2010, 09:38:47 am by BillyStubbsTears »
...we're not the only ones on the brink of going out.

If Germany draw with Ghana and Serbia beat Australia (probably the two shortest odds results) then the Krauts are going home.

Imagine eh?  The Germans knocked out in the group stage. Unheard of.

That's how quickly the game can change, everybody was salivating over the Germans after one game against a totally disjointed Australia team.

It's hard work for all the top European teams at present. Holland have got two decent results in fairly mechanical fashion, France are out, Italy have sruggled and must win, you've already mentioned the Germans. Spain have probably played better than any other European team but they still have to win their last game or they're out (and Chile are no pushovers).

That leaves us with England. Let's just hope....

I'm confident we can get a positive reaction in the performance today and that we can get the win.

I totally agree.

Everyone has been focused on the negatives of england's 2 draws against \"lesser\" opposition, yet as you say the French are out already and were after the 2nd game in all honesty, the italian's & german's have a struggle to qualify and spain are no means taking chile lightly.

I backed the dutch at the beginning of the tournament and im please as yet, i thought we would make the semi's so fingers crossed :)

The south American teams are all doing well though and can't really see any of them not getting through the round of 16.
