Jimmy Bullard is in Glasgow for talks with Celtic, who are close to signing fellow midfielder Joe Ledley.
Hull City want Bullard off the wage bill now that they have been relegated to the Championship and he could join Celtic on a season-long loan.
Cardiff City's Ledley has also arrived for talks, having previously visited the club's stadium and training ground.
And Ledley's agent David Baldwin told BBC Scotland: \"At the moment we're just having a look around, simple as that.\"
\"There's a few places that we've wanted to have a look at.\"
Asked what the chances of Ledley joining Celtic were, Baldwin replied: \"I don't know, it's early days yet, we'll see.
\"You couldn't fail to be impressed with a club this size.\"
The 24-year-old, who is also attracting interest from English Premier League side Stoke City, could move to Celtic on a free transfer.
Bullard, who was Hull's record signing at a cost of £5m, has previously played with Fulham, Wigan, Peterborough and West Ham.
Last month, Tigers chairman Adam Pearson told BBC Sport that Bullard was mulling over an approach from Celtic.
Ledley and Bullard could bolster Celtic's midfield
\"There is an offer there from Celtic. I think Jimmy is thinking about it,\" said Pearson.
\"I think it would be a fantastic stage and get him back playing games and scoring goals.\"
The Englishman signed a four-and-a-half year contract at Hull in January 2009 but suffered a cruciate ligament injury on his debut against West Ham and did not return to action until October.
Bullard missed another two months of the season following a knee injury picked up in December and played just 14 times, scoring four goals, as Hull were relegated.
\"He is certainly a big commitment for us at Championship level,\" said Pearson in reference to the player's wages.
\"But if Jimmy decides that he doesn't want to go to Celtic then he comes back here and gets stuck into pre-season with the rest of the lads.\"
