Last years Fixtures???
« on July 26, 2010, 09:14:32 am by Rovin Reporter »
Why are they shown above on the header? i shall NOT not mention this again !! . I think once is enough , i mean you can go on and on about the season only  af few days away ,and there being a need for updated information , travel, ticket prices, best pubs etc etc, then theres , \"where you going to to this year\" ...you know the sort of thing , when you get around the table with a drink, then someone will say \"i'll look at the Viking forum site they will know \" and to their suprise NO THEY DID NOT UPDATE IT . DOH! :P

I'm guessing maybe the VSC don't have permission to put the new fixtures up. Don't they have to share it with the Supporters Club page? I have just looked there and they have the fixtures up so I guess, under the silly Football League copyright thing, this site can't show them this season.

If there is to be no details of the Fixtures for 2010-2011 then wouldn't it be better to take the heading out?

Wellred, Rovin Reporter....Dont be so 'picky'.
We run the VSC site as a service for Rovers fans, we dont have a full time, paid employee to monitor and update the site, and we rely on a few dedicated volunteers to do , frankly, an amazing job.
It is really poor form to point out this stuff - and dare I say it - you dont even contribute to the VSC - so please let us get on with it.
We are moving to a new server soon, and we will be updating the links -so cut us some slack.

Get off your bloody high horse.
Is it unreasonable to point out when something is incorrect or even wrong on a site?

It seems it is perfectly acceptable for VSC members to criticise the clubs own website however sulk when anyone points out something wrong on your own.

I will contribute to the VSC when/if I decide to do so. So don't tell me what I should or shouldn't do with my money.

I didn't realise the site was only open to VSC members to express opinions.

I guess that with this being so helpfully \"highlighted\" we can believe that the Fixtures Link for last season was a helpful and well used facility for many - just a shame that they didn't say thanks, just complain and moan when the same facility isn't available the following season.

There's a reduced rate licence made available to the vsc to allow the showing of the season's fixtures every-so-often, not exactly sure how often but not every season.  For the other seasons that this reduced licence isn't available there is a standard licence available for purchase, this standard licence, however, costs far more than the vsc can stretch to.

You obviously either can't read or you are very touchy about the VSC.
Nobody has complained that facility isn't available.
It was simply pointed out that maybe if the same facility is not now available the heading should be removed.

Look, we'll take the link down to the 2009/2010 fixtures/results before the season starts. ok?
As for the 2010/2011 fixtures, we will not be showing them as we don't have the license this season.
End of \"discussion\"?

Wouldn't it be so much easier reading posts on the forum if half the contributors could string a sentence together using our mother tongue.

What do they teach in schools nowadays?
