Club shop again !!

Taken from the Yorkshire forum , yet another tale that makes your blood boil. Your thoughts please..........

 Is honesty the best policy???

Went to the club shop today to swap a shirt as it was too big. After they swapped the shirt on my way back to the car i realised i had 2 shirts in my bag Surprised after relentless pressure from Pete lol i returned to the shop and handed the shirt back in.
With very little gratitude from the club shop staff, we then decided to buy 2 £5 mugs and asked if we could get 10% off as we were season ticket holders but had forgot the ticket book. Bearing in mind i had a till receipt saying i had payed £36 for a shirt proving that i had a season ticket, still she said no. Now i know it is only a pound off but it just gets to me how i return a shirt worth £40 and they refuse me a quid off lol
So in my eyes honesty is not the best policy

All the staff no longer work for the Rovers.  They have all transferred to Nike's agent company, Just Sports Group.

I dare say, in the past when Rovers fans have received short shrift, it's been easy for the club to sweep it under the carpet as it was just one arm of a many armed beast, but now that the offending arm is solely on its own I suspect they will take a different view, especially if a customer who receives a poor standard of service complains directly to Just Sports Group.

They could have been swapping it for someone else and therefore not actually a season ticket holder, also, I am pretty sure they have to put the book number in the system to give the discount, so without a book number etc, I imaine the system may not allow it.

I have never had any problems in the shop and always find the staff plesent and helpful - I usually find that if you are courteous to someone, they are the same back. Its the same with the ticket office ladies who I get on well with.

I understand where you are coming from hoola. While that wouldn't make my blood boil, while I have never had a problem, I am disappointed with some of Rovers customer service particularly in the club shop who don't always appear to be friendly and I just think it is just the British customer service mentality of we just want your money.

I suppose it is down to how high a standard we expect things

Funny, our gert and I were in shop today admiring the new stuff with her saying it was nice to decent branded stuff and no cartoon t-shirts anymore when our ears were bombardered by \"cash only `ere\" from a till serving a queue. Cash only eh? WOW. What an unlucky circumstance. The till fails on match day? Either way the shop experience may be NIKE branded but still DRFC staffed.

To be fair, when its busy they open a third till (in the corner opposite the entrance) for cash only sales.  The 2 main tills take cash or card.
