Anyone see this last night ?
Alonso & Sergio Ramos apparently getting themselves deliberately sent off for time wasting
Unbelievable Jeff

I seem to remember reading an article a few years ago which suggested that footballers did things like that, and had more \"injuries\", nearer christmas time, more than any other time of the year. I suppose they can \"throw a sicky\" like anyone and perhaps it's a little easier for them? Gives them a bit of a break over christmas. It'll be interesting to see if both players are at their teams next matches as spectators or not.

Bit naughty but rules are there to be manipulated when you're a big club.

Paul Barnes did exactly the same thing in the Conference promotion season. He was on 4 bookings going into the match against Leigh RMI at the end of December - got himself booked late on for a soft foul and missed an FA Trophy match rather than a league match. The little tinker.

Barney is my all time Rovers Hero!!
Always had one eye on the burger van while he was running the channels. Quality player. A couple of months ago he did a guest appearance in the \"Prawn Sarnie lounge\" before the match.......and he actually looked thinner than his playing days!
