Playing a defensive game may be a good plan. Try and get in Smalling too if you can, and in January, get Davenport, as he's on a free and that's when his injury ends.

Went through a dreadful patch but in the last couple of month i have made up for that with just 1 defeat in 9 and that was against Leicester who are 2nd. I am now 5th and have just won manager of the month.

Brandy is a different player and is having a poor season by his standards, just 2 goals and im in November however Billy is a total different player with 13 goals in 16 games and a average rating of 8.25,hes doing great and he is now worth 3.3m not that i would think of selling him though.

Lets hope i can keep up the good work but i wont hold my breath as i know only too well it can all go wrong in a few games.

Good stuff. As I've said before, don't change anything until it goes wrong regularly. Maybe a chop and change every now and again would do some good too. Keep it up :)

Missed out on play-offs on last day by 2 goals on gd to Derby. GUTTED

PLAYER OF THE SEASON - BILLY

Most motms. 14
Most goals 26
Best average rating 7.89
Named player of the year for the championship

too deflated to play it tonight again, gutted and frustrated.

Billy now worth a staggering 4.5m

==================================
New season and i have managed to get...

Jason Brown (former blackburn keeper)
Freddie Ljungberg
Noberto Solano (former Newcastle midfielder)
Josh McEachran on loan till end of season (worth 6.35m)
Robbie Fowler (80k and rated as good as billy)

Gonna have another look tommorow.

Decent squad. Keep pushing on. You're (obviously) getting closer, so one more season just might do it. Try and get Mancienne in on loan if possible.

Great start. I was in 10th after about 15 games, then got a 9 point deduction because JR f**ked up on finances, and I'm now in 17th in a relegation battle I didn't need or deserve to be in.

After many games with Man city/Chelki/Tottenham/Huddersfield/York city ect. I've decided to start with the Rovers. Freebies are what i'm going for signed a couple. How ridiculous is it that you have to pay these 'big clubs' a loan fees of over 200k+ even for 3 months, Got chelsea as a Parent club and there still trying to charge me. Looking foreward to the challenge though, Rovers always seem to be bottom on footy manager, there crap on FIFA as well.

I always thought the game makers massively underestimate us (that, or we always massively over-perform..). And it is a travesty, the amount they try to force you to pay half the time.

Anyway, best of luck.  :)

Well its all trial and error, seems im making more errors than i anything though, sacked for getting relegated before restarting again.
This time round i am going to gamble on a 4-4-2 diamond formation and hope it works out,im going to set out to counter attack the oppisition and press them into mistakes,im going to install young Gary Woods in goal and see how i do.

My team looks like
Woods in goal
JOC,RIGGOTT,KILGALLON,MILLS.
with STOCK just in front of the back 4.
Out wide i have BOSTOCK and RIGA (bostock tempoarily until Woods is fit)
just behind the front 2 i have Shiels (until Copps comes back)
Brandy and Billy lead the line.

I have a very strong bench too.

Im about to play my first leauge game at home to Forest so wish me luck.

That sounds a quality squad. Absolute quality. You SHOULD be one of the favourites to go up - what odds did they give your side?

I'd risk it. Maybe he's waiting to see where the club ends up - wait until March, maybe April and then offer more money if you can. If not, then see if there's any way you can reduce transfer money to give more funds for wages, or even ask the board.

ARRRRGHHHH
My brother decided to make a fm with Crawley and somehow managed to overwrite my data

Im in my second season and finished 12th in my 1st.
Not signed as many players as i normally do and tried keeping squad normal.

Ben Alnwick

Dumbaya (best rb at club)
Martis
Jody Craddock
Chambers

Stock
Tiberiu Ghioane (110k,29 years old. Decent and best midfielder i have)
Gillett (play him,he comes on leaps and bounds)

Robbie Fowler (120k but 36,grab about 13 goals me thinks)
Sharp (need  i explain ?) :)
Brandy (quality as you know, won player of the year and got golden boot last season)

THE BENCH :
Gary Woods (good backup)
James O Connor
Hayter (14 goals last term but announced he will retire at the end of the season)
Keegan (suprise package for me)
Micheal Mcindoe (contrevisal i know but he caught my eye on a free)
Shiels (can play in a lot of areas)
Coppinger (talented but his is clearly catching up with him)

All that squad cost was 230k,shame we dont have a bit more cash on the game but oh well.
P.S - Brandy just signed a new contract,Billy rejected.

New season. (3rd one)
Finished 14th last season.

Cant seem to go up because the board arent backing me enough, they wont improve training facilities or expand the stadium or give me any more cash making my job very difficult, instead of signing great prospects im having to sign 35 year old free agents who were past it 2 years before,i cannot afford to match Billys demands and im therfore considering cashing in on him so i dont lose him for nothing.

Robbie Fowler retired
James Hayter retired
John Oster retired.
Those 3 scored 39 goals between them last season so i need somebody prolific to cover them,Dirk Kuyt would have been perfect if i could have had more cash to spend on wages instead im going to have to rely on Billy and Brandy.

This upcoming season is going to be a long hard challange, possibly my hardest yet unless im given some money,i dont want to have to sell my best players as its like going 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Its pointless.

With my very limited budget i have managed to get a few decent players in,
Stephen Hunt (free)
Ruud Boffin (free backup keeper)
Micheal Duff (free)
Ian Harte (free)
Craig Eastmond (loan signing,5k per week)

Your best route may be to try and get in some youth strikers from bigger clubs on loan. Never really been in that position - can anyone offer any advice? and again, decent signings there, pal.

Just signed Rangar Stefansson on a free, defender. Defence has been my biggest problem i think as i have luckily been blessed with lots of quality up front.
Good start to the season though,

beat Hull 3-0 with a hatrick from Brandy.
beat Morcambe 5-0 with a brace from Gillett and goals from Brandy,Sharp and Woods.
Swansea up next.

Anyway enough of me blabbing on,you must be fed up of listening to me.  How are you doing ?

 I don't mind, I love talking about the game. I'm 13th now, just gave 19th placed Boro a real hammering. Just come out of administration at the end of January, so no signings unfortunately, but none needed really. Should stay up, but if JR hadn't ruined the finances I'd have been pushing for Europe.

Well this is the side I put out most regularly, and I'm in season 4 (I think - well I'm in late Jan 2014 anyway):

Geoffrey Jourden

Ahmed Elmohammady
Leandro Rinaudo
Phil Jones
Fabio

Server Jeparov
Glenn Whelan
Valery Mezague

Mikael Forssell
Simon Church
Michael Owen

Subs:
Fernando Henrique
Emir Spahic
Danny Drinkwater
El-Hadji Diouf
Danilo
Andreas D'Alessandro
Xisco

I also sometimes use Michael Mancienne, Ivan Klasnic, Copps and Stock.

Most were on frees or very cheap, more expensive ones were bought with the money you get for going up and cash I'd saved.
-
I have more good players but I can't be bothered to type them all out (sorry )

GET IN. PROMOTION IN THE FIRST SEASON VIA PLAYOFFS.

BIlly got the player of the year.
Brandy got the young player of the year.
Billy has just signed a new 5 year deal on 20k a week.  (finally)

Got a budget of 1.6m,ok not that much but lots of wages. Now im going to sign a real quality keeper with that and possibly a cm.

Yes he was,i was delighted with the signing personally.
He was expecting 31k a week but accepted 27.

Anyway i have some terrible news,7 yes only 7 games in i was sacked, disgusting if im honest. OK 1 point in 7 games is relegation form but just no warning whatsoever, just 2 week after they expanded the stadium to 18 000.
So i have reluctantly restarted hoping for better luck this time round,i could have smashed the computer up when they told me. gutted.
