Well a great season for me,finished 5th and just missed out on 4th by gd.
Anyway won the leauge cup and fa cup.

delighted and i added a couple of players including Jack Wilshire and Henri Lansbury, won my first game of the season against Man Utd with a last miniute Drogba goal,1-0 and then beat somebody 2-0 in the Europa Leauge playoff first leg so all is good i suppose.

I would like the top 4 though.

DN - good luck with the club world cup! (or whatever they call it  ) Still haven't managed to complete a full season, especially now with this stupid message every time I go on team talks doing my head in :(

Cheers, have to say after winning in Europe I've lost a little motivation! It's my first European success with any club since FM06 I reckon although winning the Super Cup and World Club Cup would be good. I have to admit I've got the Spanish and Italian Leagues loaded too so not sure whether to start keeping an eye out for a job at somewhere like Barca or Milan! :S

I would think I'll get a few hours in over the weekend!

I never like going abroad, cos I always find myself adding another manager at Rovers anyway. My best experience overseas was with AC - rubbish first season, fans were calling for my head for blowing a huge budget, until I came storming up the league to make 5th and the Europa League; disappointing second season, spent most of the year in first, then the last few weeks chasing down Palermo, who seem unstoppable every season; third, won everything there is to win in Italy.

Has your bloody game arrived yet ?   :scarf:

Im on a new one in my first season and i am 14 games in the leauge unbeaten but crashed out of the leauge cup in the 3rd round away at Everton.I am still only 2nd though as Swansea have won more games than me.

I signed Chris Riggott.
Braiham Hemandi
Guulliem Bauza (bad signing)
Febian Brandy
Rob Lainton (gk on loan from Bolton)
I never let anyone be released however sent a few out on loan

Dumbaya (Develop)
Thomas (run his contract down)
Simon Whaley (run his contract down)
Gary Woods (Develop)

I would like to get prormoted but it took me 4 seasons to take us up last time and i feel i may not have a strong enough squad but i wont hold back if i get the oppurtunity.

No :( I might just persevere with that bas**rd error thing and sell the other one when it gets its arse here.

Is Riggott on a free? How much cash did you have to free up to get him in?

How good is Lainton? Basso is also a quality keeper, on a free.

Go on preserve the error message and start a new one with me at the same time and we can compare on a similar timeline ???

I usually have Brazil (so I can go into it in December) and a few European leagues, but I'll just have ours this time

put into the search box Adriano Basso - might make the idiot search tool realise who you mean

If you can get the money together,Joe Mason from Plymouth might be worth a gamble ?

I think im going to keep Brooker if i can and give him a fair chance. :)

How much did you bid for Mason ?

Brandy is a bit hot and cold,i have had him in every season and he either seems to be fantastic or terrible, still worth the gamble and a good investment.

Mustapha Riga is decent if hes still available on a free.

John Bostock is a loan target for me,possibly Fabio Borini too but im still unsure on him

I started to look at players who have just 1 year left on there contract and i am already identyfiyng targets for in the long term too,i am keeping tabs on Danny Graham at the moment who only has 1 year left on his contract.

I also loaned Borini and a young lad called Morris from Blackburn,Morris is twice the player Mills is according to my scout and both loanees only have 1 year left on there contracts so i will be looking at them,i loaned out Burge as he isnt needed as i have plenty of coven in his position

I ended Joseph Mills loan contract and sent him back to Southampton and sadly Brooker wont be getting much time as he is out for 7 month with a broken leg.

Anyway time for some game time.

Well had about half an hour on the game, building a squad - signed mainly the ones you said, as well as Gavin Mahon, Gavin McCann, Liam Rosenior and some of the guys on the other FM thread.

Beat Benfica in a friendly 2-0, won every other pre season game apart from Millwall, which I lost 1-0.

Just about to start the season, and the power goes off for 5 hours  so I've got nothing done on it since then.

Tip for a decent young left back on loan, Daniel Redmond from Wigan, did well for me a few seasons ago. On the topic of good signings for Rovers an anyone beat signing Mikel Arteta, Niko Krancjar and Pablo Zabaleta? All in their thirties and all free agents but Arteta and Kranjcar score for fun.

Managed to get an ageing Rooney on a free (although personally I don't rate him - just got him for the shirt revenue) and he scores goals for fun too. Well, he did until all my files got corrupted.. what year do Niko and Arteta become free agents?

Oh, GF - my save corrupted again because my computer crashed :( I've got the squad I always had, but it starts me just before the first game of the season  I'm starting to doubt if I'll ever reach November!
