Please read the brief rules & regulations of the Viking Chat Player of the Season voting. It’s all pretty simple and straightforward. Should you have any queries then they should be directed to forum@drfc-vsc.co.uk

Voting

A poll to vote for your man of the match will open after the end of each game (or the next day) and close 3 days later. For example, if voting for a Saturday home game is opened on the Sunday morning, it will close the following Tuesday morning.

Voting is limited to one vote per forum user per poll.

Only competitive first team games are counted – Football League, FA Cup & League Cup games.

Points Scoring

After the closure of each poll, votes will be counted and then verified by a moderator. Points will then be awarded to players, on the following basis:

1st place – 4 points
2nd place – 2 points
3rd place – 1 points

In the event of a tie in voting, the maximum amount of points will be awarded, reflective to where players finish in the poll. For example, should 2 players be tied on 13 votes each, and no other players have more votes, both players would receive 4 points and the 1 point for 3rd place would not be awarded. In the event of a three way tie neither the points for 2nd or 3rd places will be awarded.

Player of the season

The presentation of the Viking Chat Player of the Season trophy will be presented to the winning player at the end of the season. Details of when the presentation will take place will be announced nearer to the time.
