« on February 08, 2011, 03:34:29 pm by bessacarrover »
i went into the ticket office today to buy 4 leeds tickets for the game. me being 17 it cost me £30 which is a joke but my uncle is 60 years old and he payed £20.

why cant they have a student ticket price??

i cant keep paying for tickets that are overpriced, ive been to plenty of away games for half the price

plz sort it out leeds

What's even more galling is the fact that next year they're on about putting away fans in the \"limited view\" section and still charging the same. Kitsons.

I've made this point before, but we don't have student tickets, we have \"17-20\" tickets. Which means 2 things -

1. Students who don't fall in to this age bracket have to pay full whack

2. 17-20 year olds in full time work get cheap tickets.

So? Don't go then. It'll be their fault that they don't get your money then.

Oh, I understand. It's your cry-baby whinging tone that's annoyed people.

I'd like to get an unemployed-persons discount from Rovers but I don't act like a mardyarse as though I've got a right to expect it.

PS Re-reading your OP, perhaps if they made your uncle pay the £30 they charged you, you wouldn't complain? Problem solved.

A point of view is an opinion. Opinions are normally respected.

Whinging is a form of presenting an opinion, not an opinion in itself. Whinging isn't respected, no matter how good a point the opinion makes.

Spot the difference.

I was right about you not being an English student, wasn't I?

I think some people just think they own the forum. The slightest hint of mis spelling or a sentence that isn't properly constructed and you are shot down in flames.

I don't get why you're being such a tosser to this guy, all he said was the Leeds tickets are expensive, if one of your mates with thousands of posts made the same comments they wouldn't get this backlash, my only conclusion is that you have nothing better to do so you are trying to start and argument with a 17 year old kid.

What point does he have?

He bought a Leeds United ticket, Leeds United set the price, why complain about it on a Rovers forum, wouldn`t he be better off contacting Leeds united and registering his complaint, or at least post it on a Leeds United forum

The point she has that Leeds Utd are selling tickets at an expensive rate that students find it hard to find the money for.

Isn't a forum all about expressing views and opinions? Christ there have been enough topics on this forum about the price of our tickets.

Just write to Ken Bates - he'll be sympathetic!

Simple - Stop going to away games - that way you don't give money to any other club.

For once Frosticles, I'm in agreement with you.

Leeds aren't alone though in not charging student prices. Norwich, Boro, Derby, Barnsley, Doncaster and a lot of other clubs in the Championship don't do them. In the Premiership, I'd be hard pushed to think of a club that does have a student ticket price.

What annoys me, as a student, is that Leeds United are so damn difficult towards students. They are the biggest club in West Yorkshire quite comfortably, but rarely do they ever have students working for them in any way. It's as if we don't exist and anyone who gets in contact with them get the \"Leeds United\" treatment.

If I remember correctly, Sheffield Wednesday have a really good relationship with the local uni's and college's and have some great ticket offers for students.
