I can't think of any thing more pathetic than all the meweling about sexisim and boohoo the big bad nasty man doesn't want us because we are girlies bit.

Be shocked and horrified about something that really matters... Babies dying, people starving...

Women being leered at, bloody well grow up and be thankfull you arent such a troll blokes run screaming....lol

fooking PC... pah!!

other than that, have a good day boys and girls, I'm off down the salt mines...yuk.

I would say that being denied a job, ie your livlihood, purely on the basis of your gender (and nothing else) does rather matter to some people.

Should women have been allowed to work down the pit?

It's not so much that a specific person wants to do something, I can't talk, not by choice I do what some would think to be a mans job after all...The thing that really irritates me is she had to go back x ammount of years to find this letter, and NOW thinks the tone is sexist?

These days there is an isim for every situation and sadly some that will take advantage of that.
I don't understand how women can be so enpowered on one hand then so.........(I can't even think of the word I want) on the other.

I find that so very frustrating, After all many women want a female doctor because they feel uncomfortable telling a man certain things, yet male doctors don't pull the sexist card ...Perhaps Fergie wasn't being sexist as such, maybe the men did feel they would be more at ease with another man.......

I guess what I am trying to say is I don't like the way women use their gender to get what they want.. If a man did the same he would be pilloried

Or perhaps fergie saw a portent of the future..I.E footballers + woman = headlines to make him cringe..

Women who are married or living with a bloke should be at home doing housework and carrying out other 'duties'.
That's what the word 'wife' means - it's an acronym of '  Washing, Ironing, F*ck*ng, ETC.
