Jesus Christ. I'd hate to be in that position. My heart goes out to the fella.

A Man City fan has posted about the fact that his wife and 8 year old daughter have just been killed in a car accident, his 3year old son is intensive care. The thread is over 56 pages long now with messages from football fans throughout the country.
The thread has since been closed at the mans request.

That just goes to show how pathetic we are when we get pissed off at a football match, its just a game, and at the end of the day we're lucky not to be this poor guy, best wishes fella.

Well if he was you his little lad wouldnt have a Dad???

Although nothing like what this man has been put through, ive really had to look at myself with whats happend to my family in the last 12 months. Football this season has become a very distant 2nd to my family.

The problems on the pitch dont even figure in my head the second i walk out the stadium, which is a positive atleast at the moment to be honest.

Snap Keith.

Football is entertainment - with a bit of added passion. I haven't seena Rovers game in months. Alexanders's Mum was on alife support machine for 10 days over Christmas. She was pretty well dead - which sort of put things like togger on the back burner. and every saturday since September I've been trogging off to Bristol for some cricket coaching for Alexander. That's put the kybosh on watching any hoops running around - but he is so far ahead of the Rovers in my personal pecking order that not only is it a different league, but it is also why I'd top myself if anything ever happens to him.

Cheers

I can't imagine what its like to be in that position. I lost one of my best friends in 2007 t0 a biological condition it was almost impossible to spot. She was 30, clever, pretty and had everything to live for. She was also a Nottingham Forest fan and we'd gone to matches where I'd sat in one end of the ground, she'd sat in the other, our mutual friends had hoped for a draw and we'd both said that was the worst result. Now, everytime they win, we lose or vice versa I just wish I could hear her voice on the phone giving me a bit of banter

Football can and frequently does ruin my weekend/week but on the grand scale of things its pretty insignificant - my heart goes out to the Man City fan and his family
